He has a year left on his contact with an option of a further year. So it isn't as bad as it seems. But I expect the club will get onto sorting out a new contract for him shortly after the transfer window closes with the aim to have sorted out his new deal before Christmas.
I expect/ hope We Woodward is busy with other things atm.
