According to Wullie Ballache, Van gaal is DEFINITELY going to be here next season, any truth in this?

I don't think he knows what he's talking about to be honest it was only a couple of weeks ago he was saying Mourinho is going to mufc. No one knows what's happening. I think it will happen but that's just my opinion. Ed001 will tell you how reliable ballbague is. Sooner the seasons over the better so we can finally put all the Mourinho talk to bed.

Unless any eds want to tell us what's going on as a special treat ;)

{Ed001's Note - Jose hasn't signed anywhere yet. LVG has not had any final decision made as it comes down to achieving his objectives. I am sure the end of season review will be interesting, even if he does achieve them. I can't believe the club will be happy with the way things are going.}

If everything he said came to fruition I'd take him seriously. Sly sspurt mouth piece.
In fact if anything he said came to fruition I'd be surprised.

@Ed001

As you have said previously, the fans will have the ultimate say and the large number empty seats and flat atmosphere yesterday wouldn't have gone unnoticed by Woodward and Arnold who were in attendance.

From what I am hearing many United fans have decided not renew season tickets if he continues as manager as the football is awful to watch even if we win all home games. The season ticket renewal deadline was pushed ahead and renewals have been very slow.

Also I don't think that after having finished 4th last season, his season objective for this season will have been to finish 4th again. He has already failed in one I assume (qualifying out of the group stages of UCL) . We also know from Ed002 that the club shelved some major signings that Van Gaal wanted in January (one of which was Felipe Anderson) due to the fan unrest.

I think the empty seats will be the final nail in his coffin. What do you think?

{Ed001's Note - if the seats remain unsold then a change will be made, yes. He would have to be exceeding his targets by a significant margin to hold on to a job in that case, which he is nowhere near doing.}

To be honest Ed001, he has a unique opportunity here. He can knick 4th place, win the FA cup in his last game and retire on a high by claiming to have put the club back in the UCL after the Moyes disaster and winning our first post Sir Alex era trophy.

And if we succeed further with the next manager and the likes of Rashford and Fosu Mensah kick on je can take credit for "having laid the foundations" too.

We can dream :/.

Did you guys notice how quickly Old Trafford emptied getting to the end of last night's game?

21 Apr 2016 11:58:32
MDB,

I left with 3 minutes still on the clock, the place had emptied at that point. I don't care what figures the club put out, the attendance last night was far less, I don't think there was even 1000 palace fans there.

I don't trust a thing that he says - he's full of it and has no knowledge on UK football and very little on Spanish. He has been wrong more than any journalist - he may as well go and work for the Metro.

I agree REDFAITH, to be honest, despite people's views on LVG, I would like him to step down rather than be sacked and if he can achieve the FA Cup and 4th, potentially even 3rd, then to step down and away from Football would be a good ending to his career which despite what people feel about him, can't deny was a great Managerial career.

Thanks for the insight EdtheRed :)
