Hi. First time posting but long time follower of the site. Bit addicted 2 it to be honest 😂 Anyone think it's worth throwing a bid in 4 Arturo Vidal? Just read it somewhere and was wondering what people thought about it?

I was desperate for him before he went to Bayern.

I was desperate for us to sign Hargreaves once upon a time.
I was also desperate for us to sign Schweinsteiger too.
In the end we signed both, but neither worked out how I wanted.
As it turns out Bayern only sell players once they feel like they have had the best out of them.
I also felt Vidal would have been excellent for us, but that was before he signed for Juventus.
If Bayern are prepared to let him leave now it's because they know he is past his best. I think we need to build towards the future, to do that we need players in their peak or players building towards it. I don't think Vidal quite fits that profile anymore.

Vidal is a wonderful player. However, if we were to sign a Bayern centre mid I'd take Thiago. Simply because he is great to watch. Makes everything look easy, he is like a number 10/ winger/ central midfielder hybrid with his dribbling skills, vision and ability to control a game.
Looks most likely it'll be Renato Sanches if we do get a Bayern player this summer. I'd have needed a new pair of pants if we'd signed him last summer but doubt I'll be that happy this summer if he comes in.
