Slightly worried that some of the starting 11 for the Europa final might be off the pace. I think some have had to much time off. I thought against Soton he could have played his Europa final 11 or close to it, then give them all a week off until the final, playing the kids on Sunday. As us is some of the regulars have had quite a lot of time off the last few weeks. Hope it doesn't backfire.

They will have been training hard and most of them have had a run out in the last couple of games, not many haven't played at all other than pogba who will play at weekend and Valencia who Jose has been looking to rest all season and has never looked off the pace. Everybody else I can't think of has had game time.

Stand, I had the same thought. I think some players will be a lot fresher after a rest but as you say, let's hope they haven't lost any sharpness.

We don't need to make excuses before the game even starts. Mourinho is doing that to try and deflect from the team, but we all know it's BS, which most managers would do.
All of the players, except Pogba, who couldn't be helped, have played the last week or so, you don't drop off that quickly, unless your Rooney. Ajax are an exciting young team, but we 'should' beat them. If we don't then this season becomes a very poor one. We need CL next season both to get the number 1 transfer targets and to take a bit of the pressure off the team and Mourinho, it's obvious he is feeling it.
I expect us to win on Wednesday and then let's see what we can do in the summer and next season. Lose and it could be a tough summer and season again.

I don't think we should worry. I think they will all be on it. We are not the sort of team who comes out all guns blazing in the first 20 mins so there is time I'm the game to raise the level.
I think the players having the rest will be more important. Also Ajax have quite a gap since there last game so the risk of being under cooked is as relevant to them.
It will be a cagy start and hopefully we can get a couple of goals around half time. Then it will be a Jose shut up shop masterpiece. Finger crossed.
