Some of the hysteria on here is quite astonishing to me.
Can we blame the manager for :
1. Zlatan missing some sitters throughout the season?
2. Pogba hitting the post an incredible 9 times this season?
3. Legitimate goals being disallowed?
Also Martial imo is suffering from 2nd season syndrome and has struggled this season.
We must not forget that of our striking options one is a 19 year old who started the season after a decent 4 months, another is Martial who is also a young player in his second season at the club and is still a very raw talent and our main striker is Zlatan who even though he has scored goals hasn't scored anywhere near the amount of goals he should have given the chances he has had.
Look at the table and you will realise that we are the same level of City, Liverpool, Arsenal.
But unlike those teams we have a solid foundation to build from in defense and are much more solid unit defensively. I think Jose has made the right signing in Bailly and massively improved Rojo, Valencia, Herrera and Lingard.
What astounds me is that nobody mentions that we don't have a genuine specialist winger. Martial and Rashford are essentially strikers who are playing out wide and whose tendency is to cut inside, Mkhitaryan is a CAM who is deployed out wide as is Mata. Young isn't good enough. For a club of our history and tradition we need a winger or two especially a right winger. Look at what Mane is doing at Liverpool for eg. Nobody in our squad seems to be taking on the full backs. The odd time Rashford does it we look very penetrating in attack but he is young and inconsistent.
Paul Pogba too is a young player who has it all in terms of ability but lacks the discipline, tactical awareness and the footballing brain right now to make a significant impact.
So in conclusion I will say that we are a young squad with the likes of Rashford, Martial, Lingard and Pogba who are struggling to perform consistently together as you would expect from young players. Also we have had a lot of chopping and changing the last 4 years and players aren't on the same wavelength imo. Carrick are at the twilight of their careers and need replacing.
Our season imo hinges on 5 matches in the Europa league for which we are the favourites. Defend well in those and win the competition and Jose will have won 2 trophies, qualified for the UCL and will have the chance to finish the rebuild with 3 solid additions.

You win and lose as a team and that includes Jose.
It's a managers job to get the best out of his players, might be harsh but that's how it is .
Chelsea are playing well so the manager is doing a great job if they where mid table he wouldn't be .
Jose needs to turn it around Imo cause we are under performing. I think and hope he will.
We have missed chances over the season but all teams do and scoring is a skill.
But no team scores off every chance and
Over the last month I just don't think we have played well.

Astonishes me the general negativity from fans on our manager and club when we are in another rebuild process because fans was as equally eager for change in previous regimes.

If it was just pogba and zlatan then mourinho won't be blamed, but we have been collectively poor at finishing this season, did everyone just forget how to finish this season. The coaching staff and by extension the manager has to take some responsibility for the slump. For all our disallowed goals we have also scored something like 6 or 7 offside goals not to mention rojo getting lucky with 2 blatant reds, it evens out eventually.

I'm not hysterical, I am not advocating a change, I merely pointed out I expected more than I have seen from the self annointed Special One. It doesn't have to be black or white, we can have a debate and discuss it without having to be back him or sack him advocate.
I think we have good players but they are not playing well. The question is why and what is being done to change that. Where are the tactical innovations, the rousing speeches, the glorious leadership, the charismatic exhortations. I'm just seeing a surly miserable chap right now.

Jred, lots are taking about it, change all the time just breeds instability, let jose do the job, he's not even got hardly any of his own players in yet, some of the players aren't good enough and he's got to undo the mess of previous regimes first, I think people think we was just going to breeze the league just like that, it don't work like that, I don't care if we spent £200m that was only 4 players, all I see on here is people saying what a disappointment everything has been, same droning as previous years, maybe just support the squad and manager to see the job through and maybe then we can judge.

We have a good manager and good players there just under performing at the moment .
I think that's pretty clear .
