I've read same stories Deano but impossible to know if there is any substance to them like all press reports relating to united.

Agreed ken I'd find it strange to offer a new contract atm especially considering he hasn't exactly settled on a personal note yet.
His wife still lives in London doesn't she?

I don't know where his wife is but I think he loves the job and the autonomy and control he has. I am confident that he will be here for a few years yet. Winning the epl back and or a cl would be the legacy he want to leave behind and doing that at United would appeal to his personality and ego imo.

Don't like managers being given contract extensions when they haven't even completed one year of a 3-year deal. We've seen plenty of bad examples of this before. As I said before I'm very happy with Jose and would like him to stay for a long time, but let's reward him when it's due. Probably just speculation anyway.
Be nice if he'd just hurry up and buy a gaff in Manchester!

All the stories about Jose being unhappy about his living situation and not being in London surfaced when we were weren't getting results. We're playing better now and the tide has turned for this team, we seem stronger mentally, we're bringing back the fear factor and we have a few great opportunities to get some silverware. Now all the stories of unrest and unhappiness are gone, and there's potentially a new contract on the table. The future is looking rosey with Jose in charge.
Ed002, awhile back you said Jose was unhappy at the club for various reasons and unhappy with a few individuals at the club. Is this still the case or has he settled in now and resolved these issues?
{Ed002's Note - He doesn't like Manchester, he doesn't like being away from his family and there are a couple of people at the club who are uncomfortable. He has to suck it up and get on with it.}
