We have to win tomorrow we have already dropped too many points at home, the team's ahead show little signs of slowdown so we must keep the pressure on, a lose would be catastrophic. But l'm confident.

A loss wouldn't be catastrophic, we have got ourselves on a great run and not far back now at all, we have a decent run after this and the other teams play each other. A win would be immense but whatever happens I would expect us to get top 4 the way we are playing.

A win is catastrophic in the sense that maybe Jose and the team would feel the pressure after losing to liverpool at home. We felt it when we lost to city at home and chelsea away. I wouldn't mind a draw because they are a good team, but a win would actually mean that we are back in the top 4 (almost) and back for the title race. Someone from 'pool, arsenal, city or maybe 2 will beat chelsea and 10 points is not that massive as many a teams have faltered this season.
Chelsea are the same team that are title challengers and the same team of last year.

I believe this win will make lives easier for us though. I would call it an absolute must win.

Totally disagree gds. A loss would be disasterous as the other teams are playing well and not dropping points. More importantly, if we lose, the gap will be much bigger, Liverpool confidence will be much higher and our confidence will be lower.
Next match is Stoke away, not exactly a walk in the park.
If we don't win today then our top 4 chances are severely dented.

We lose then I don't think the title is an option. We win and we still have a good chance. This games will decide the next 4 months for me, therefore it's absolutely vital we take 3 points.

Our recent form performance wise hasn't been great, we need to lift the tempo today, because Liverpool won't roll over and playd dead like Middlesborough, West Ham, Hull, etc

{Ed025's Note - i dont think a draw would be the end of the world myself beast..

15 Jan 2017 09:38:34
Ah ok yes if we are thinking about winning the league (which I don't think we will) then losing today is catastrophic, I don't think it is for our top 4 chances. As someone said above losing to Chelsea really affected us, so much so that we haven't lost a league game since. It's how you come back from bad results that decide your season. Let's not worry about what happens if we lose though, as I said earlier a win would be fantastic.

15 Jan 2017 09:50:27
That's it gds. You either win or you learn.

But today I think we will win. And I still think Chelsea will drop points to arsenal and Liverpool. If we can capitalise and continue to win our games we will be right up there. I still don't believe it's a foregone conclusion.

I think if we go at these boys with a good tempo, they're there for the taking today. Mane is a big loss for them. At the moment I'm confident of beating anyone at home.

15 Jan 2017 10:45:05
Ed - Yeah mate, a draw wouldn't be the end of the world, but virtually as we need to start taking points off of our rivals if we want to catch Chelsea and pull others into a scrap. I am of the mind that the league is still possible, I'm not worried at all about achieving top 4. It's the bare minimum expected of a Man Utd manager with the resources Mourinho has (I think it's too soft myself but appreciate there is a lot of good competition at the minute) .

15 Jan 2017 13:45:48
Out of all our rivals, we took 3 points against Spurs and one against arsenal and Liverpool. And lost against City and Chelsea. So our record against the top 5 is not good. We have to improve this if we're going to make top4. No excuses.
