We played well and got a good win under our belt and what do you know, the page is so silent and barren as if someone just died. There's nothing to say if it's not criticism, right? BORE.

very good point.

Spot on Shan, I imagine the main issue is that Rooney was absolutely brilliant yesterday, great first touch, looked confident and fit and deserved the goal that was wrongly disallowed. Maybe dropping him has had the desired effect. Rooney and zlatan on form with rashford and martial also and our front line will be frightening.

Yep, great to see rooney play well. Fruit of his labour. I hope he continues the hard work.

And I also hope others take note of this and buck up their ideas.

{Ed007's Note - To be fair the anti-Rooney posts haven't been as bad over the last couple of weeks but I know what you're saying. ;-)

I'm not Rooneys biggest advocate ed but hats off, he played a lot better yesterday and I hope he continues it.

{Ed007's Note - I thought Utd played well too but it was still Swansea at the end of the day. Hopefully they can build on it though and start building up some momentum and a run of form, it's just a pity there's a poxy international break now.}

Great game yesterday,

To be fair Rooney has been good foe the last few games. I think the tine away from the team has done him good.

Players like zlatan needed a goaland Pogba.

Carrick also played well but we need to play well against the big boys, i hope qe beat Arsenal as that will be a big morale booster for the team.

I reckon we will win 2.1 or draw 2.2.

Did more than enough to beat a poor Swansea side yesterday. Rooney played well, Zlatan took his chances, and everybody on the pitch put in a shift. But as 007 says, we shouldn't get too excited because Swansea were so poor in the first half. It's also important to note that Carrick was the best player on the pitch, and it's worrying that despite all the money we've spent on midfielders, we still haven't found anyone who is more influential on our performances.

It's also a bit worrying that Jose seems to be butting heads with so many players at this early stage, and that a lot of the younger players are being sidelined. Yesterday was a very old first 11, and I do worry that Jose will start going back to trusting old heads like he has at previous clubs. We need to get the right balance between youth and experience or we will never build a top squad long term.

Good point shan, there's a noticeable lack of rival fans too. The team played well we've been bad on the road so far this season. It was only Swansea but still good to see a dominant away performance. The gunners up next I'd like Jose to keep the same formation but bring in Herrera for fellaini, rashford for ibra that team will give arsenal the spanking they deserve.

I thought Rooney was excellent. Every time he got the ball, he ran at Swansea and I haven't seen that from him for a long time.
Excellent overall performance all be it against a terrible Swansea side.

Rooneys performance yesterday was certainly his best of the season but it was far from excellent his touch was awful and simple passes he gave away to the opposition but at the end of the day let's hope his performances keep improving so we build up some momentum.
