well after picking up 1 point in september chelsea have won there last 5, scored 16 let in 0.
all this from a team that finished 10th last season, with a manager that is new to the epl.
shows what's possible and how quick things can change.

jred, I love you mate but I fear your optimism is substance induced. There is some serious work needed at United, hopefully Jose is the man but I fear he isn't.

on paper our squad is as good as any in the league.
time to see if jose is that man.

Our squad has some very good players. Some very similar players, some bad players. And some positions that we're simply lacking in. Overall it is still very unbalanced.

you don't need superstars in every position
what do you think of the liverpool and city back 4 and gk for example .
if rash martial miki pogba herrera, i could go on where all playing well this squad / team would look great .

Never mentioned superstars. How about we see who we have for the rw? How about a striker who's not a has been or still in development? How many teams have this issue?
Do we even have a defensive midfielder? How about a deep playmaker who can play continuously? Centre back cover? Even our star cb is just a 22 yr old who's just come in and thankfully is doing great.
We have three players who want to play number 10. Good players don't necessarily make a balanced squad.

miki was the best player in germany playing rw .
if your old enough your good enough, bailly looks a great buy.
midfield herrera has been great this season .
pogba was bought to play 6 for a 100mil.
schniders was one of the the best cm in the epl at southampton .
we look a better team everytime carrick plays .

jred, I agree with all your points on paper but it's not happening for us at the moment. I fear Schneiders is suffering from big club syndrome (it's hard to know as he has never had a settled run), Pogba came for a big fee with a big reputation but looks like just another midfielder right now. God knows what is going on with Miki and as for Zlatan, he was a cheap option to give Rash time to develop but it doesn't appear to be working out.
Then factor in! Martial who appears to be sulking over the No 9 shirt, Smalling who still looks like an accident waiting to happen, and a general sense of disquiet and I can see why we are struggling.
On the plus side, Herrera has stepped up as has Mata and bailly looks like he has huge potential to become a star. Right now I would pick Andres and Mata simply because they appear to care more. I also like Carrick, he brings stability sitting in front of the back 4 so if he starts, Pogba and Herrera can pretty much get up and down as they please.
On paper we should be challenging but there is clearly something not clicking right now. Given the chances we have created you have to look at the forwards and ask why we are not scoring. If Micky ever steps up do we drop Zlatanand play Martial or Rashford up top. That would be a pacey front 3.
