Whilst Spurs have bottled their chance to win the title, the interest shifts to who gets top 4.

It's amazing that despite playing poorly all season we are still in with a shout along with Arsenal and City.

Looking at the table this morning, it may well end up being in our hands.

If Arsenal or City win and there is not a draw in that game and we go on to beat Leicester and win our game in hand, then we will be a point above one of Arsenal or City, level games, with two games to go against the Hammers and the Cherries.

In my opinion, City will go on to beat Arsenal and Arsenal will finish 5th this year. However, this all depends on our ability to beat West Ham away. I have confidence in us winning our two remaining home games, and winning away against a poor Norwich side.

Who'd of thought we would turn into Arsenal fans and get excited that we could get 4th spot - how we have fallen.

Agree1 Disagree2

Lets not count our chickens before they hatch Fresh! Leicester will be very difficult to beat. City and Arsenal could easily win their next game and draw against each other.

West ham won't be pushovers by any means and we have often slipped up against teams like Norwich and Bournemouth. I feel more confident of beating the big teams with LVG rather than the lesser sides!

But heres hoping we finish in the top 4 and win the FA cup.

Leiecester will win the title with a win against us on Sunday. West Ham will probably overtake us on goal difference with a win against us at Upton Park (not to mention it being their last ever game there) .

Neither of those teams will roll over.

We also lost to Norwich at home earlier in the season so could struggle away (especially with them needing points to stay up) .

redseven,

Just won the most optimistic post of the day mate, well done.

Unbelievable geoff.

GDS2 - I don't see anything wrong with being realistic. People on here keep going on about how it's looking likely we will finish 4th now (or in one or two cases even 3rd) and I thought it worth pointing out that 3 of the 4 teams we have left to come up against still have a lot to play for.

Expecting us to go on a run of 9 straight victories just seems a little naive to me given that our longest winning streak under LVG is 6 and our longest winning streak this season is just 4.

As I said the other day - I think our best chance at top 4 hinges on City losing the Southampton game (sandwiched between the 2 RM semi-final matches) and then losing against Arsenal. Even then I think it is a stretch as I don't see us picking up 9 points in our last 4 games (my money is on 7 or 8).

Wah wah wash 😆😆.

I think a draw or a surprise result away at southampton by city would make things very interesting that no matter what the results are in the arsenal/ city game we will control our own destiny.

Arsenal have Norwich at home and it will either be a walkover or turn into a surprise. All of this is meaningless if we don't beat leicester.

United and Arsenal have played them the best out of everyone in the top 6 BTW. Let's wait and see, fully fit squad with an exception of one player os no excuses for the dutch Tulip.

You are one cheerful and positive lad, redseven.

Realistic? Redseven cheer up mate. It's not all doom and gloom. LVG is not the future but martial, Rashford, Shaw, herrera, lingard, darmian etc. are.

Bit of a difficult moment being a man utd but it's only a difficult moment not a life ending one. Going by your posts and also chat during games, you'd swear the world was going to end.

LVG will be on his bike very soon and I'm sure you'll find something or someone else to moan about.

FRESH - We have to be realistic mate at this stage of the season. It's not about turning into Arsenal fans. Nobody has given UTD the right to be top of the premier league every season. With fergie we were absolutely spoiled. Blessed. But now we have a hit a bump in the road, it will turn around. I am very optimistic that we will be right up there next season. However right now we have to be 100percent behind the team to push for 4th and win the FA cup final. Grit your teeth mate, it always swings in roundabouts.

I think there is more chance of city losing points as their run in is more difficult than arsenal's. So lose against Southampton and then against arsenal and we could be in. But we have to win our games and that's no easy feat.
