So pleased with the result today. Rooney played his heart out. some good passing. Fellaini wad involved in a some of the game changing moments and worked as hard as he could. We looked a little ragged at times at the back with individual mistakes by each of the back 4.
I think Tfm looked and played nervously I think taking him off was wise he liked a little over awed and looked a lot less aired on the occasion. He will have hundreds of bettrr days and will benefit from the experience.

i disagree ken ithought he should have kept him on instead of making him look like it was his fault that could be a real kick in the teeth to the lad you learn by your mis5akes but to take him off jus5 says i don't trust you.

And I am in total agreement ken Rooney and felli were very good today and I also think the occasion got the better of timbo but he has many many semi finals to get over it I am completely buzzing about the whole day I have no felt excitement like that in what seems like forever so yippee 😃.

I'm not slating Tfm he was less assured had made some mistakes but I felt his lack of composure was a potential risk. He will learn plenty he was trusted and didn't let anyone down put putting in some solid experience when under pressure was a good call. Valencia did attack more high up the pitch. It was Risky but worked
In a semi you expect to be under pressure for sustained periods in a tough game and yes they could have scored 6 but we could have had 7. Broth side made the most of their best periods and didn't take their chances.
We saw off the pressure and fellaini was spent so putting Herrera on when he did after the major onslaught rather than in the midst of it was good management and use of substitutions .
I usually don't agree with substitutions but today it worked out and I understand the rationale of not changing when in the eye of the storm.

In first half Timbo lost the ball ones with his run. And Rooney shouted at him. I have seen Rooney loose ball so many times, one of his weakness unlike when he first started. Even today him and fellaini lost simple pass balls granted they ran back and it got all nervy.
Timbo is young lad, he seems to get better as the game progress (judging by his previous gmaes) so getting shout at for one mistake when Rojo lost balls even more. I am not sure that is right kind of Captain. Look at Carrick on instance when we all saw him talking to young players not shouting (almoat covering his mouth) . I don't think Rooney is great captain and his running around is not considered efficient a or a good work rate.
Timbo at second half was so unsure of running when he had acres of space and crowd wanted him to run. But what did he do.
I m not being negative Rooney's hype is almost like a halo effect of him being English, his past (I am talking 5 years ago), his long pass only when he has space and opponents are not closing him down. People should stop comparing to Scholes or hope that he will ever come close to it.

Fosu-Mensah will come good. Good day to learn a lesson, he is a little too fond of the slide tackle, but he can sleep alright as we go through to the final. On the plus side, his ability to intercept and drive forward is frighteningly good.
