With Jose rumours piling up. What do folks here think about who our manager will be next season .

Well . I am fed up with LVG's style of play . He has crossed the limit of boring style of play . Yes! recently performance has improved but i cannot see him as our manager anymore . I doubt he will be but sacked before end of the season, I hope we replace him with someone suitable at the end of the season . Personally Pep was my first choice and Ancelloti then . But now since both available managers have joined another club with Pep joining our closest rivals and we are stuck with fat philosopher, i am really starting to doubt the ambition of our club .

Our club must do something very big to keep on challenging and once more retain the top club position which unfortunately we are only in money areas (nowhere in football ) .

Personally i don't want Mourinho anywhere near our club, but situation has so changed that now i think he is among the few who can bring our club back to those glory days. He is very good in identifying the right players to bring in any team . He brought Matic, Fabregas who were the best midfield duo last season .

It is time where we should take some serious action . I hope Mourinho will be the one on the manager seat next season .

Reading his quotes you can only see us as a viable option for him he stated that he and his family will stay in the country "for sure" so unless he has his eye on the villa job I cannot see anywhere else he could go. England job possibly?

The conspiracy theorist in me hopes that he gets the spurs job and we get poch that would be good.

It is no secret that he wants to manage our club but the main thing is are we interested in him? I really don't know what our owners are planning to do in future. Its a very sad thing that our noisy neighbours have improved massively over recent years while our club is accepting mediocrity.

Yep Deano just what I was thinking . It's us or maybe Spurs but everything is pointing towards us . Watching the interview he has mellowed as a person and he seems up for revenge. Bring it on 😆😆.

Srestha,

Yea city have spent a lot to 'improve massively' but can't defend to save their lives and if they didn't have aguero would be below us in our worst season ever. Some people are so defeatist, pep might not be the second coming like you all think, and even if he is he will leave in 3 years anyway and it all starts again.

I think Mr Mourinho will be in come June 1st.

What is irritating me even more than our play on the pitch is the clowns press conferences. He is such a confrontational, arrogant man who cannot answer a question in an adult manner. I also can't believe he contradicts what his players have said about having more freedom. They are attacking now because they have confidence, 'bull'.

Mourinho will come in, I think he will be far more humble and will look more to building a legacy. It's the job he has always wanted. I'd also like to say that it is important that we are looking to bring in a Director of Football to help with the transfers. If we get the bloke from Atletico along with Mourinho then you may as well go and get your Griezmann shirts today!

City have so many good players and aguero is one of them . Surely Aguero takes them to a different level but the team is still strong . And with one top class manager, this team has a chance to go at anything.

But my point is on all side . Look at the academy, facilities, in transfer market . City have improved massively and we are so far behind them . I do think that we have a very good squad and with a top manager , we will be as good as anyone.

and if pep comes, he can leave in 3 years but what matters is what he will bring in those 3 years . Do u really think everything will start from scratch after he leaves? i don't think so . further, i don't think there are much managers left who are ready to dedicate their entire life to one club .

Suppose you have to ask the question bfro would levy allow poch to go if he could get a manager of mourihno profile in? I think he probably would I think his ego would lead the way .
I think like pep at city mourihno would be a 3 year option tops I read somewhere today that city are already working now peps replacement in 2019 and if we really wanted some longevity from a manager then a poch or a koeman would be the best option but like you say all roads seem the lead to the special one . The league and the summer transfer window will be incredibly interesting 😊.

Managers who stay longer than 5 years are now seen as freaks of nature . I'm hoping Jose comes in and we also appoint somebody else to rebuild the academy 😆😆.
