I hope not.
Mata would be better suited to that role. Midfield of the two Sch's and Herrera, with Mata in front, and Lingard and Depay pushed further forward on the wings.

Neither did Cesc when he played that role for Barcelona and Spain. The idea with a false 9 is the pace comes from the wings.

Obviously false 9s like Totti are flush with pace too. The whole point of the role is to drop back to open space for pacy wingers. I don't see why pace is a key attribute for the role in any way.
