Love how people always find something to complain about, we have signed 6 good players, some have experience, some potential, all have talent.
5 will almost certainly be in the first team most weeks. And all of them and improvement or potential improvement on what we had before.
Would you rather have Valencia at RB or Darmian?
Would you rather have Schmidfield or Cleverley and Anderson?
Would you rather have Depay and Martial or Nani and Hernandez?
If DDG can get his head straight and play like he did last season then we are looking very solid.
So what is there to complain about? Oh yeah that we paid too much money. Funnily its the same posters who complained that the Glazers were killing this club by not spending enough money who are now complaining we have spent too much.
Are we or are we not one of if not the biggest club in the world?
Do we not have a higher turnover amd profit than any other club?
And finally is it a secret or does the whole damn world know it?
We have more money than any other club. So what do you think happens when we go in for a player? Of course we get ripped off, its always going to happen and no negoitator in the world can convince any team we approach about one of their players of our apparent poverty.
We have two options, try and negoitiate and but ultimately still pay over the odds or not sign anyone and just play our youth system.
Why are the people who see the glass as half empty the bloody loadest. Lol

Maybe because we have not strengthened key areas and we are playing the worst football I have seen.

And people who think the glass is half full are pollyannas who blindly accept anything the club does. The sad part is no matter which side somebody chooses , neither of them notice the glass is cracked and slowly becoming useless.

Have to agree with all of this shappy, the overreaction I've seen today over not signing the player people wanted on deadline day is quite frankly embarrassing. We are a central defender signing away from a very very good squad, 2 players in each position like LVG wanted.
It makes me wonder if we hadn't signed anybody but then signed the 5 players we signed earlier this window today people would be saying it is the best window ever. It frustrates me that people just want more and more signings no matter how many we already have.

Good post. We've sold 73 million pounds worth of players and bought in approximately 105 ish. Net spend of 30 odd million. Fairly decent business really. Can't see that there's much to complain about at all

Amazing how negative this site is recently, its as if we haven't signed a World Cup finalist goalkeeper, Italy's best right back, Bastian bloody Schweinsteiger, possibly the best cm in the premier league and two of the best young prospects in world football.
I can't wait for this season and I hope the young lads get plenty of game time.

Shappy. Couldn't agree more, Top post! A lot of fans fall for the media's influence and focus on negatives. Yes many of us were expecting a grand finale type end to the window but let's look at it as a whole, We have strengthened and look much more solid in midfield and we now have two full backs putting in good consistent performances.
Let's all allow the dust to settle, get behind the team and continue to support.
Onwards n upwards.

Then Beast you obviously aren't old enough to remember the 80's.
The only area we haven't strengthened is centre back but that wasn't for the lack of trying. We tried for Hummels and Ramos. Otamendi was deemed too expensive. Others were more than likely looked at but were either too expensive or not good enough or most likely both.
all other areas have been strengthened.

Maybe there is reason good reason for some degree of negativity.
Take Cleverley as an example. It's not that he has been replaced by a better player, but that he was allowed to ryn down his contract so that there was no transfer fee. That is bad business.
Likewise United may have signed 2 of the best European prospects, but only time will tell whether they adapt sufficiently well and quickly enough to enable the team to prosper this year in the PL and ECL. The loss of Van Persie is a tremendous blow, removing great experience that would have been most helpful to tyros. PL teams are far more difficult to overcome than Bruges - witness how few goals has United players have scored in the last 9 PL games. Even Ronaldo took the best part of a year to settle and time is not on United's side.

Maybe we ahould have kept all the signings until 5pm today so it looked liked we had gone mad on deadline day then everybody would be praising the board for pulling all the strings just in time. All the major signings were done early.
Martial is a bonus. I think LVG wanted to give hernandez a second chance and he blew it.
The keeper situation was a difficult one for club but we nearly pulled of a great deal for the club. However it wasnt to be and i'm sure after international duty DeGea will get his place back in goal.
CB is the only position we could really do with another player but LVG obviously fancies Blind there. If Rojo knucles down he can take the left side and smalling can play the right side.
I don't think we have a bad side a all now. Rooney may well drop behind the striker in some games now giving Martial Wilson and Depay a shot up top.
The versatiltiy of the players LVG buys means the squad may look thin but it can create multiple different starting line ups and I think we will do alright.

Its four games in and the players need time to gel, roll on the new year. If we are still in contention, which i'm sure we will be, I can't wait to see what a force this team can be.
