I've slowly come to the realisation, that Manchester United is just not the club it once was. Rivals beating us to the top players that we are after, being outbid, turned down by players here, there and everywhere, even our own players are desperate to leave for bigger, better things. Over the coming seasons, we will all just have to accept that we are slipping, slowly but surely, and will be fighting for Europa League places season after season, a northern Spurs if you like. I know it's a hard thing to accept, but it seems inevitable now.

Sensible post.
Last season we signed Di Maria and Falcao without CL football.
We will no doubt sign some top class players this summer.
We are back in Europe.
We have some promising young players coming through like Pereira, Januzaj and Wilson.
Roberto Firmino went to Liverpool for guaranteed first team football and there is a stronger Brazilian presence there.
De Gea is from Madrid, half his family support Real Madrid and to a Spaniard, playing for one of Madrid and Barcelona is the pinnacle - the same as every young lad in this country wants to play for a Man Utd or a Liverpool.
To say that we will slip into the Europa League and be like Spurs has to be a joke.

Went fishing once GDS, never again, sooooooo boring! We just have to accept that we are in decline, Rooney level players are what we can expect from now on ;-)
