Incredible that this many games in to the season our forwards have contributed just 1 goal between them. Also incredible that despite that, despite having a -3 goal difference, and despite missing pretty much our entire first team defense, we are 6th in the table.

Interesting that Spurs and Newcastle have a few defensive injuries and suddenly they aren’t as good. We are above Newcastle and they are bottom of their CL group, Howe out?

Being 5 points behind Spurs who have been tipped to challenge and Ange getting all the plaudits, 6 behind Arsenal who will be expected to challenge for title, 6 (9) behind City.
We've been brutal in a lot of games this season but with the long list of injuries and the belief that a lot of those players have another few gears to go up, we might be in with a shout of challenging for top 4.
If only every game was before an international break!

This team is not a top four team, and would be punching above its weight if it got there.
Get shaw, martinez, varane back fit and playing well consistently and then we can talk. We are still a long way off where we need to be. We basically need a squad revolution. Bring in ball paying players, move some on, trust in younger hungrier players.
We looked okay today, against the worst team in the league. I do think our attack will start to click soon, rash right and garnacho left looks better. Eriksen in midfield has no legs or physicality at all, but his ball playing is much better than anyone else. We need a player with both!

Cas and Licha aren't expect back till next year, so we have to make do with what we got.
If you look at the fixture list till Xmas, there is not one game there I would consider easy, you could make a case for us losing them all.
One thing for sure, we are going to have to start to learn how to score goals, because at the moment that department is chronically under performing.

Its frustrating watching what we do upfront but what makes me really nervous is watching us defend against better teams when we are under pressure.
Away at Everton, who are actually in good form, then gala away then NC away and then Chelsea at home. Chelsea showed yesterday they are a very good team and have proved it vs spurs, arsenal and city now and starting to gel and getting players back from injury as well.
4 big games that will shape our season. I would take 3 wins and a loss now and be happy. Gala win a must but probably most difficult game imo. We have never won there.
We have scores 9 goals in cl and lost 3/ 4 games. Defending sucks imo.
