Hi Ed002, this hasn't been a topic of discussion for a while now so I wanted to see if you know of any changes to our pursuit for a director of football?
Constantly seeing random names chucked around by the media but all seem like weird choices (Darren Fletcher, Rio Ferdinand and recently Steve Walsh who used to be the Leicester assistant? )
I guess it's safe to expect nobody to come in this summer?

{Ed002's Note - As far as I know it remains unresolved. If the club want an ex player then you need one with considerable skills and in most cases that is hard to find. Chelsea considered two ex players for theSpirting Director role and appointed Cech who will do well. MU have heeded options but are not having by any luck. Arsenal have a strange structure so everyone kicked the job in to touch and have ended up with someone well down the list.}

Cheers Ed, I really hope we make the right decision with this one. A DoF is something we've clearly lacked at the club since the Fergie days.

Hi Ed002 can I ask why you think Cech will do well? After all he is just and explayer like others mentioned with no practical experience as a DoF. What makes him special?
