ED002 I have seen you have previously said United have monitored Gabriel Barbosa from Santos but Barca have first option on him. You also said if Barca can raise funds then Dybala will wait for a move to Catalonia.
With both players effectively playing the same role and both being very expensive, if Dybala heads to the Noucamp would that leave Barbosa for other intrested parties such as United?
{Ed002's Note - Gabriel is of interest to Fiorentina, Chelsea and Manchester United. However, although much is expected of him he is only 18 and whilst there is an agreement between Santos and Barcelona that may be exercised in 2016, I suspect that he won't move there at that time. Chelsea will try and continue to strike a deal - but it may be a while away.
Dybala's situation is very different and you should not confuse the two. Barcelona's rebuilding does require them to move a number of players on and they have the further difficulty that they cannot make any incoming transfers before January 2016. As such, they are going to try and do a little horse trading this summer, like loaning a player to a club for 6 months and then he becomes part of a deal for someone else in January with cash or whatever passing hands then. In the interim, Palermo are aware of interest in the player and have already turned down three offers - two in cash and one including two players.
So there is no dependency between the two players - and I rather doubt Gabriel will end up in Manchester, unless it is in the away dressing room.}
