Ed always says don't get into the money as we don't understand finances. But I read somewhere that we break even if we sell ADM for £48m. Something to do with the add ons and the money we have upfront etc. If someone has good knowledge then maybe they can clarify.

Not sure about the add on etc, but because he has asked to leave he won't get his 15mil bonus that was in his contract if he so out his contract or we sold him and he hadn't asked to leave. So i quess they would look at that.

ADM was signed for 60m (roughly 57.7m?) over 5 year contract. Played for a season so 4 seasons remaining. 60m/5season = 12m a season. 12m x 4 remaining seasons = 48m.
Don't see why everyone gets so obsessed with the money though.

sailor, that wasnt my valuation of ADM, I was just explaining to you how this value of 48m had come about and how it was apparently supposed to mean we break even. But you somehow twist this into me saying Ronaldo is worth 2m.
I see why Ed002 buggered off and doesn't do MONEY matters. sigh.

Sailor, £48m isn't a valuation, it is the point where we break even if he is sold this summer. After his season we aren't going to make money on him are we? Ronaldo was on another planet to Di Maria, we weren't just hoping to break even.

What I wanted to know is if anyone had idea about how much did ADM actually cost. Do we have to pay Real 58m even if we sell him? I'm assuming there would be some add ons etc in that money.
