Fully deserved win today. Zlatan's goal should have stood and the upright came to boro's rescue a couple of times.
But I want to talk about the standard of refereeing we are seeing. Most of the decisions being against us. And even one or two which we profited from this season. Lee Mason today was totally shocking. I fully understand the managers being taken to task if they criticize, but when referees are constantly making wrong decisions, why are they not accountable? How long is this going to go on for? Penalty decisions that have not been given have cost us on three matches so far this season.
Should we not have a refereeing committee that can punish these guys when they're consistently bad.

it works both ways, we have got away with a few of late .
over the season we will do ok, i still think the big teams do better than the smaller ones when it comes to the refs.

It shouldn't be tit for tat jred.

Some of the refereeing this year has been atrocious and these referees must be held accountable.

I agree, some referees have been poor and I think Mason and East are particularly poor. You lot were unlucky with some decisions early in the season, but jred is right, you have had the rub of the green lately proving there is no vendetta. All of us have to put up with crap refereeing decisions from time to time. Sadly, I can't see any of the current crop of referees improving.

When decisions start going against teams that are, shall we say more popular, then something may get done.

The league is way too big for mediocre refs and i don't agree with the idea that we have and some good breaks. We have been shafted all year and these refs are useless in my opinion, including clattenberg who is suppose to the best one.

It's all swings and roundabouts. No one has an advantage due to referees. Rojo got away with 2 of the most blatant red cards of the season so far!
No refs are targeting United. Just poor refs!
Quit the moaning!

Refs have completely ruined the game, week after week they are making mistake after mistake, lots of times it's just basic common sense but as they have never played the game they can never fully understand certain situations properly. A premier league ref earns something like 38k a year basic and about £1000 per game I believe, well although that sum of money would not appeal premier league players retiring from the game but looking to stay involved somehow surely we could fast track some lower league players retiring who obviously haven't earned enough money to live off for the rest of there lives so we can have some ex players reffing the top matches, I understand they still have the letters of the law to go by still and will be under scrutiny from the higher powers but I do feel it would add an awful lot to the quality of refereeing.

I don't want to jump on the referees backs but found today's performance by Lee Mason was not good for my blood pressure!
We have the goaline technology which refreshingly means no players, managers or fans argue when the decision to award a goal or not is made.
The referees need help due to the speed of the game and the video referee has to come into play for penalty box and goal incidents. Football is behind the times in this respect.

It was a shocking display really was Mason and pawson are the worst in the league for me.

Mark a Clattenberg is in a league of his own. Another ref who has made some shocking decisions.
