Lesson to be learned from today. take your chances! De gea at fault for goal but stoke should have been at least 2 down by then. Fair play to their keeper though.

{Ed025's Note - i mean allans assessment of the game was not how i seen it IMBS, i thought stoke had a fair bit more of the game than he thinks, they had a few really good chances for me and im afraid to say utd were predictable and at times very pedestrian mate..

Stoke had 3 really good chances, all falling to Allen. He scored from one courtesy of an error by our saviour of the last few season. Their goalie made none.
We, on the other hand, had at least 3 times that many opportunities. Pogba could maybe have scored 3 on his own. It's a game we should have won handily, and if Ibra scores in the first minute as he normally would do, then Stoke would have been forced to change their game plan immediately, potentially opening up more space.
Truth is though, both teams were very poor in front of goal and we do sem vulnerable to cut back passes to midfielders making runs into the box. It was the same against Watford.
Very frustrating performance in a game we controlled, played some decent football, and made enough chances to win handily.

As shaw says they did have 3 good chances but utd should have been 4-5 up by the time they got their 2nd chance. Both teams were rubbish at converting chances. But only period utd looked pedestrian was maybe 10-15 mins post the break, other than that we completely out played stoke.

We controlled the game from start to finish, more or less. Maybe a 10 minute period after the second half started, stoke had a bit of the ball. Other than, that, we were all over them for the majority of the game.

Sorry ed I have to disagree if we're better in front of goal today that was a tonking the only thing I'm disappointed with today was the result I thought we were very good.

Not often I'd disagree ed, but we really had many many more chances.
