Editor 001 I see you are around so I would like to ask you as one of a very select group of unbiased Pool fans, what do you think of your new gaffer and what can you expect from his team throughout the remainder of the season? Also do you believe you guys have what it takes to compete with your more reputable Northern neighbours this campaign? (and no I don't mean City!).

{Ed001's Note - more reputable? I don't think there are any more reputable neighbours!

I absolutely love Klopp, I admit to a little man crush on him. He is pure charisma, though he is not the calm smiling character always, he can be fiery and temperamental, but he is inspiring with it. Klopp was always my first choice, before we appointed Rodgers, all last season, during the summer and now, he was always the man I wanted.

The rest of the season will mostly be about finding his feet and assessing the squad, but his inspiration should lead to a challenge for the top 4. Any more than a challenge, such as actually getting a top 4 place, would be a major bonus, in my opinion. He has inherited a team in a shambolic state and has his work cut out, especially with the only decent keeper contracted to the club having been sent out on loan to Aberdeen.}

Agree0 Disagree0

with the way the league is going you can't put it past LFC to at least mount a serious challenge top four and I think LFC may sneak into top 4 if Klopp can get them performing from the get go. Although they must replace the disgrace of a pro keeper in Migs and a better replacement won't be hard to find.
And while we r talking about GKs what is your opinion on our very own DDG.
Thanks

{Ed001's Note - de Gea was shafted by Real Madrid in the summer, they had promised to sign him, with his condition being that Iker Casillas was moved out, as he refused to compete with him for a place, with the pair being the best of friends. Anyway, they moved out Casillas and the fans turned on Florentino Perez, he bottled it knowing there was an election upcoming and his future depended on this summer's window. Rather than upset the fans, the bid was just a token gesture to appease de Gea, but they were surprised when United stopped playing hardball and accepted the bid, so had to fudge some way out. Hence the late paperwork.

Lucky for United as he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. I can only think of Neuer that I would take rather than him personally.

Oh and I agree on Mignolet, truly awful keeper who is scared to get his feet near the ball.}

Ed i would say on the basis of last season DDG was better than Neuer although Neuer didn't have as much to do as DDG due to our defence which was nearly as good as migs as gk. But i too think Neuer is the only guy you can consider better than DDG. And on topic of Real do you think they will come back in the summer for DDG? Or will they even try to sign any good keeper.
Just as a treat for you ed #migsforreal

{Ed001's Note - on the basis Neuer was outstanding in the international games, he edges it over de Gea for me. Just because he doesn't have a lot to do, doesn't mean his quality does not stand out when he is called upon. He is one of the best I have ever seen, so to even be disputing whether DDG is as good is a sign of just how good he is.

It is impossible to say with Madrid, depends on their elections.}

Fair play 001 I would generally agree with that statement
