The defence was all over the shop for their goal, after we took the lead we retreated, lost control in midfield, the swine got tired, so we needed someone to get hold of the ball and control the ball, that should have been Rooney but this early in the season he looks knackered, we need another player like a vidic who can take charge in the final 20 minutes when we come across a game like this.

The defense was fine for there goal, they all pushed up together.
It was a good line with a winger getting caught ball watching unfortunately.

It wasn't a good line, smalling stepped up and away from the ball and Valencia couldn't read a simple offside, winger or not he is around long enough to know something that is teached to youngsters.smalling is improving but the understanding in our defence is bad
{Ed004's Note - I thought Schneiderlin and Blind were poor for the goal. The winger should never have been allowed to cut inside as easily as he did}

I thought 3 of the 4 stepped up as one apart from Tony, just caught the goal again and saw it didn't matter he would of been on either way.

Valencia got caught napping but even if he did hold the line it looked to me as if it still would've been onside and Blind had got dragged out of position.

He was onsite even if Valencia had pushed up, i think as people have pointed out another united player maybe blind also got caught not pushing up.

I think schneiderlin had a pretty poor game all round ed.
{Ed004's Note - I agree with that tbh. He looked a level below everyone else on the ball, more so when Bastian went off. Now before I get killed on this site I would like to point out that I like Schneiderlin - I think he's got great potential. However, I am a bit disappointed in him so far. He's been (most of the time) excellent defensively however his passing and his attacking play have been quite poor. However, maybe I'm being unfair because I'm comparing him to Carrick and Schweinsteiger as they're usually partnering him. What I will say is I think he's more suited to playing with Schweinsteiger rather than Carrick. Hopefully he is just settling in and I know his job seems to be primarily to defend but hopefully we see a bit more on his passing and he starts driving forward from midfield more. Would add a different dimension to our attack having someone drive forward from midfield.}
