The Bayern Sporting Director Mattias Sammer has refused to comment when asked directly about ADM, hopefully this means they are interested in him.

Agree0 Disagree3

What a great fan you are

02 Jul 2015 10:10:02
why will united be better with out him ?

02 Jul 2015 10:21:09
I'm excited to see ADM play this year with a bit less pressure on him, people are expecting him to be rubbish now by the looks of it so I thoroughly expect him to prove a lot of people wrong. In that Argentina team he looks a totally different player, hopefully he will have a little break and come back with a lot more confidence, something he will have more of if the fans get off his back.

02 Jul 2015 10:29:25
Why would we want them to be interested. When on form he would be our best player.

02 Jul 2015 10:30:02
I don't think ADM will be going anywhere, hoping he will find his form for us this season.

02 Jul 2015 10:30:45
gds he is given the freedom to play his natural game for argentina which i don't think was the case last season at united.
i rate him and hope we see the best of him this season

02 Jul 2015 10:32:33
Agree GDS. I will be first to hold my hands up and say I wasn't impressed with him last season but if we get half the player who is playing for the Argies in the Copa back next campaign then I can't wait.

Our play was too slow last yr which meant di maria had to change his whole style. With depay coming in and hopefully quicker play i'm certain we will see the very best of angel di maria

It is so idiotic when people slate ADM because of one poor season . Remember folks ! Form is temporary , Class is Permanent . I just can't wait to see ADM on his best this season .

02 Jul 2015 12:01:12
To be honest, I never rated ADM that much but having watched him in his last 2 seasons for Madrid, he has been immense and it's clear he is up there with the best bar the two ET's. I think if he can get his form (and head) right he will be unstoppable. Besides, I don't think UTD selling their most technically gifted (and most expensive ever) player one year after buying him is really an option.

02 Jul 2015 12:27:34
Think Mata's more technically gifted

02 Jul 2015 12:51:09
of course you do JMB.

02 Jul 2015 13:13:35
I think Mata is probably the most technically gifted clever player in the squad, just wish he could do it a bit quicker!

02 Jul 2015 13:17:22
I must admit I thought Di Maria was shocking at times last season but I'm very interested to see how he performs this one so I hope we keep him for at least another year .

ADM is considered by many to be on of the top 10 players in the world, he plays in one of the most advanced positions on the pitch yet his best ever career return for goals is 7, a guy playing in some of the best teams in the world in leagues with some pretty uncompetitive games has only ever managed 7 goals, it's a terrible return.

Some people quote his assist stats, I could play a simple pass to Ronaldo or Messi watch them skin 5 players and grab myself an assist, being the closest player on the pitch to the two aforementioned players pretty much guarantees you assists. He played/plays with some of the best attacking players of his generation if not in the history of this game.

Apart from his goal return my other main issue is his weakness. He gets dispossessed very easily and doesn't chip in enough defensivly. None of his traits suit possession based, pressing football.

If he stays I will support him, I have no personal issue with ADM I just don't think he suits the EPL or the style of play LVG is implementing.
