Maddison is a much better player than Mount, but he'd be a Bruno replacement. I'm not sure if Mount can be a CM for us but Maddison I'm sure can't.

But Maddison could play wide, I think he did that at Leicester, or Bruno could play deeper, as he did in some matches last year. But in general, yes, they are playing in the same position.

Easy to say at this point, but if it was ever an option Maddison all day long.
The signing of Mason Mount is a riddle, when other positions were far more pressing. Weren't they even talking about priorities? To be fair, no-one expected the entire defence to be wiped out a few weeks later.

I have always thought Maddison is a really good player but people say he has a bad attitude. He definitely has more goals in him than mount. I agree though that they are not the same type of players and Maddison would be a Bruno replacement on the pitch. He is definitely more creative than mount and I am sure his stats will back that up.
If we are going to buy a long term replacement for Bruno, Wirtz from Leverkusen is a wonderful talent but will probably cost a fortune. at 20 he is better than Bruno imo and not wasteful and takes care of the ball and great IQ for a 20 year old.
