Eds if rvp is to leave who do you believe the potential replacements would be? I don't want cavani or higuain and I can't see us getting benzema. Lacazette seems to me the best option. Young,pace,good finisher and not going to be overly expensive as far as transfer fee and wages are concerned in comparison to the two previously mentioned. Can you also update on Schneiderlin and otamendi? A mate with good links to the club has told me we will sign both these players in the next ten days.

{Ed004's Note - I reckon the club will try to sign Kane. He seems to be the ideal type of striker. I think if we want to replace Fellaini we need someone threatening in the air as a striker. I expect Schneiderlin to sign and Otamendi will depend on Ramos who is the better cb}

Agree0 Disagree0

You seem to go on and on about fellaini being replaced. Signing Keane has nothing to do with Fellaini mate and complete different type of players.

Just because we are after a striker since last summer to replace an ageing and misfiring striker group( the manager has pretty much made that clear that he thinks the current group is not good enough evident by hernandes loan and welbeck sale and bust on falcao.

Replacing your spark plugs in your car does not mean you are replacing your left tyre mate LOL.

IMO he will be a starter most games next year no matter who the strikers are.

{Ed004's Note - So you don't think signing a striker (who for 40+ Mill) won't affect Fellaini? I think Fellaini was excellent for us at times near the end of the season until teams sat back and then he was shown to be lacking technically. I have never said I wanted Fellaini sold, quite the opposite, I think he is a very good squad player who I respect quite highly because of the abuse he first got at the club. However, do I think we should try to improve by upgrading on him, obviously. Also I tend to think Rooney, Mata and especially Di Maria would all be better players playing behind Kane/new striker}

Di Maria is a bust IMO and very one dimensional. Runs out of ideas when he has no space. Fellaini will play even if we paid 60 million for a new second striker as he is the link up for these guys.

Anyway let's wait and see, IMO no chance LVG will sell him. He is a shoe in for Belgium with all their wealth of talent, so he obviously has something that various coaches see but many here miss. He crucified us for years at Everton and was unplayable in some games no matter who we put on him.

I don't get the love fest with Di Maria as benching him last year is when we ended up getting results and every time he came on as a sub he was atrocious. Just because we got skinned on the transfer does not give him a free pass.

{Ed004's Note - Im hoping after a season adapting and a month rest Di Maria will perform like he did in the first few games with us. I think now with Depay signed we could try Di Maria centrally again. However, only if he picks up his work rate and work as hard as he did for Madrid. We will play a higher line and press opposition teams more next season and I think Di Maria would thrive in this style of play. I also think we need more players who take on and commit defenders.}
