I think the main problem is we have too many players who can just do a job. Fellaini, Valencia, Schneiderlin, Smalling, Rojo, Jones, Lingard, these are all just average players who a would probably look decent at a mid table club but just average at a top club. To move forward it is probably going to take another 2-3 windows.
The lack of balance is ridiculous considering what mourinho usually builds his team on, every week it's a different line up or somebody is in a different position etc, it's not going to work.
I 100% trust Jose but I feel if you hire him, then you have to let him play his way, I'm getting fed up of hearing it's not the United way, gone are those days I'm afraid, it was never the United way, it was the Ferguson way.
We're still short of a decent cb and full back in my opinion, as well as a wide player (assuming mkhitaryan is a gonner already)
Today's performance was lost from the back, I've never rated smalling but today I hope everyone else realised how average he actually is. There's no team cohesion at the minute which again needs to be addressed!

Valencias better than ok. Herrera spider aren't great midfielders just decent. Our front three are an old man and two kids who both have had a good run of form. They aren't 20-30 goals a season strikers yet. we've few if any players that would be first choice in our peers but we'd take some from all of them. That's definitely the wrong way round.
