From all the chap I've read today about potential signings, here's my wish list :
Zlatan, varane, pogba, muller, ddg.
Just those 4 (+ keeping ddg) would imo be enough to win the league.
And God dam I'm excited at the thought of it. Although I don't see that wish list coming true, but a boy can dream.

Retaining De gea would be one of Joses first task.
The 4 you have named are definite upgrade and would potentially do well in a Mourinho side.

To be honest, DDGs face when lifting the FA CUP was one of joy and wanting more if anything? He loves Utd and wants more moments like that!
Unless a MASSIVE FEE comes in, he ain't going nowhere!
