Well done to Everton and Roberto Martinez. They obviously watched what Mourinho had done the week prior and set up the exact same way. I expect more of the same from WBA and Palace, so the quicker we discover a plan B the better.
I agree with most that Blind in CM hugely disrupts the pace of our passing game and is best served as a LB but having said that Luke Shaw had a decent game. I take my hat off to Martinez yet again for effectively using McCarthy to tag Herrera and basically nullify him from the game.
Again we looked too slow, lacked creativity and the guys in the dugout had no tactical response to our opponents game play. It's all well and good to say 'well Felliani should have tucked that chance away and the game would have opened up' but he didn't so the manager must have a plan B at hand to open the game up.
Fair play to LVG he got results when it mattered against Spurs, Liverpool etc but today shows why I cannot give him the ultimate thumbs up because this type of performance has happened too often this season and has hampered our season greatly. Yes it's been a 'bad day at the office' but if you include our early season form these 'bad days at the office' have been more frequent than we care to admit.
