Give Amorim until November 1st. I went very early on Amorim but I don’t see upside in parting ways now.
I’ve given this some thought and I don’t see any benefit to sacking Amorim until at least November 1st.
Main reason would be to save the compensation. Circa £12M.
Secondly to that there’s no club men to step up other than Fletcher and Binnion who are both inexperienced.
Third the club come off looking good, they stuck by their hire, backed them on and off the pitch and was left with no option.
The club should work now on sounding agents of Howe, de Zerbi, Iraola, Xavi, Conte, Hoeness, etc
Get a feel for a shortlist and go for the best available.
Do the behind the scenes work early and see what comes.
I like Amorim, if we play 4 at the back and he adapts against Sunderland I’d be delighted, then get anything at Liverpool I’d be willing to give it more time.
If not I’d sacked him Nov 1st on reflection of the complete 12 months, and hire the next manager the day after.
The club could sack him or stick with him regardless of results. The pragmatist in me says give him time, save the compo and have a plan B ready.
Does anyone see it differently or the same? What am I missing.

You seriously think that they have not already compiled shortlist and not already virtually settled 90% on an incoming…. all clubs have shortlist and feelers out at all times.

Give him to the January transfer window in 2027 to see where we sit.
Players that are not fit to wear the shirt make up more than 50% of our squad. Let that sink in.

He’s had two windows now, Jimbob. He brought in a left back with plenty of energy but a final ball worse than my two-year-old’s, and three forwards who’ve managed just two goals between them in six games.
Let’s not pretend that signing more players for his rubbish system — which we probably won’t be able to do anyway — is going to fix this.

Utd road…it’s pointless contemplating any changes because they simply won’t happen. We will setup the exact same way with different names in those positions, but the result and performance will be similar.

Yet more drivel from toxics, no manager is ever going to get the time to sort out the squad, you're too self absorbed in success and have no patience to take any pain fpr long term gain.

Capt - Amorim has had time to make an impact, I’d say most fans accept the squad as a whole needs improving but we need to see something on the pitch to know we are going in the right direction. The performances and decisions are Amorim undoing.
I’d have moved him on in the summer but at this point I don’t see any benefit other than another 4 matches and assess it then against best available options. Eg, I am not convinced Xavi would be a good option.
German - I’m sure the club are looking at it the same way as hypothesised.

Captain Obvious, so it's toxic now to want better success from your first-team coach? Because that's what his job title says, not "manager. " The club is responsible for transfers and players. He is expected to coach and improve the players and get the best out of them. He is absolutely failing at that.
If not wanting a coach who can't get the best out of his team makes us toxic, then so be it, but I would bet my house that you have called for managers' heads in the past who have deserved it a lot less.

But Kurtis, the players we have are beyond crap.
Bayindir Dalot Shaw Maguire Casemiro Amad all shouldn't be near the first team.
Then we have players he has inherited Mazraoui MDL Ugarte Bruno etc some of whom are simply filling a hole in the teamsheet.
German - you say players are on the naughty step. they are recovering from injury. but you spin it how you want to.
The toxicity of our fanbase is beyond me.
