Cameroon outlet that broke Brighton to Lille for Beleba reporting United have agreed an overall package of €112 for Baleba.
1.) 15 Aug 2025 09:24:38
Every rumour I see the price gets cheaper and cheaper. Some fantastic business by Wilcox.
2.) 15 Aug 2025 11:21:21
According to the Brighton manager Baleba will not be leaving. Assuming this is what we’ve been told behind closed doors, it may be time to move on.
3.) 15 Aug 2025 12:10:25
Reading now manager has said he's confident Baleba is staying and Brighton turned down the offer
Who really knows though.
4.) 15 Aug 2025 13:04:17
Press saying this morning that the backup plan is the danish guy from Sporting. Who knows.
5.) 15 Aug 2025 13:48:21
Hjumland seems like a good player but does he fit the athletic profile that Amorim has specified. From what I've seen of him, he's really not very quick, but is a very good reader of the game. What I like most about Baleba is that it's more obvious how Mainoo can play beside him. If Sancho, Garnacho and Hojlund all go over the next week or so then I expect us to up whatever we've bid for Baleba.
6.) 15 Aug 2025 13:49:41
I’ve read that the Brighton manager stumped up €200 himself to keep the player at the club.
7.) 15 Aug 2025 17:00:16
Move off for Baleba as per Ornstein.
8.) 15 Aug 2025 18:23:16
Time for Kone to step up.
9.) 16 Aug 2025 05:51:13
Kone nowhere near able to step up yet, just not ready, Ugarte poor, Not sure RA even fancies Mainoo in there, so Cass will be our go to in midfield if we don’t sign a midfielder now…. But just because we not going for Brighton boy, who let’s face it fee was ridiculous we will probably still sign someone else.
11 Aug 2025 19:26:14
United have made an approach to CP for Mark Guehi, exploring details of a deal structure. 2 journos confirmed and also liverpool fanzine.
1.) 11 Aug 2025 20:40:35
Oh now there’s a surprise, we are looking for a CB…. Saturday reinforced RA thoughts that we are awful at CB…. and it’s a major concern within…… it will upset the Deligt and Martinez fan zone on here!
2.) 11 Aug 2025 21:00:29
German, it is possible to think some players are good and also think another player might be better. Living in a black or white world can't be much fun.
3.) 11 Aug 2025 21:14:27
Thought I read that Geuhi had his heart set on Liverpool and was going to join on a free next year.
4.) 11 Aug 2025 21:45:56
Dont rate Guehi any better than De Ligt or Martinez.
5.) 12 Aug 2025 00:34:21
Very good player but Liverpool-bound surely.
6.) 12 Aug 2025 03:50:34
Would be a very good buy for the price reported. I think palace will be keen to get him moved on this summer which could definitely work in our favor. If he moves to Liverpool now, he would not be a guaranteed starter, which he’ll likely be keen to avoid during a World Cup year. Of course, this could just be Palace trying to get Liverpool to speed things up a bit, but as I mentioned a few days ago, he’d be a big improvement on what we have at a reasonable price.
7.) 12 Aug 2025 05:17:18
The way I see it is that Steve Parish has come out and send Guhei can leave if a good offer comes in. So then he’s essentially available why wouldn’t United have a sniff OR once again, link with United, get that price up so they get top price for him. Not sure Germans inside factual knowledge should be admired on this like claims. Maybe more common sense.
8.) 12 Aug 2025 09:05:55
I don't think anyone said we didn't need a new CB, I think most people suggested that it was unlikely we would get one this summer with heavy investment needed in the forward line, midfield and in goal all being of higher priority than at CB.
The club as activated Maguire's one year option to make sure they still had depth in defence.
Marc Guehi would be a great signing if we could pull it off. Good age, a leader, EPL proven, and capable of playing in all three positions in the three man defence.
I still doubt we'll sign him or any CB this summer. I can only imagine if we do then it is at the expense of another position like keeper or midfield and rather than go for a 2nd or 3rd choice option in goal or midfield the club would rather get a first choice option in another position of need, especially if they think they can get their first choice next summer.
Maybe the club have been given a firm "no chance" this summer on Baleba, but a willingness to do the deal next summer. So the choice is sign someone else in midfield and give up on their clear first choice just to get someone in this summer, or wait until next summer for Baleba. If they are confident they will sign Baleba next summer then maybe waiting for him makes sense. In which case then maybe look at a CB this year instead of next summer.
9.) 12 Aug 2025 11:55:38
If Baleba has another good season he will probably end up costing more next summer than he would now. If he has a bad season, we may end up moving onto other targets anyway.
10.) 12 Aug 2025 15:05:53
Nothing like covering all eventualities Shappy! I don’t think we sign a first choice keeper this season, mainly because no one will want Onana and on basis he can’t be this bad all the time… I said all along we will sign a decent experienced CB with pace and we will, because me have no one who fits that criteria at the moment and he’ll we need it.
11.) 12 Aug 2025 20:55:42
Hasn’t he already agreed personal terms with Liverpool and reports tonight that a fee has been agreed between the two clubs.
12.) 12 Aug 2025 22:22:03
German, we'll see.
13.) 13 Aug 2025 07:31:27
He’s off to Liverpool chaps.
26 Jun 2025 14:08:37
I dorect rumour here, but Sesko's barber has said he's looking forward to seeing him arrive in London l, suggesting Gyokeres reports today of doing a U-turn and saying yes to Utd might have some legs.
1.) 26 Jun 2025 15:17:55
Liverpool have entered the race for Gyokeres apparently. If true, he will be off there.
2.) 26 Jun 2025 15:36:28
I see sesko started following arsenal on IG too yesterday. There was talks a few weeks ago that he was Arsenals priority.
I'd like gyokeres over him to be honest.
3.) 26 Jun 2025 15:48:21
Liverpool have done some really good business this window, and I wouldn't be surprised if they end up with Gyokores.
Once again we are showing complacency and incompetence. I doubt we will see much of an overhaul this window. I don't think we have anyone in the club capable of overseeing it.
4.) 26 Jun 2025 16:57:58
Liverpool are going full throttle in the market this summer.
Don’t see how they would play wirtz and Gyokeres in the same team without dropping some of their star performers from last season. Unless they are planning wirtz from the left.
It was always a long shot that Gyokeres would come to United, especially with zero European football. I think the only way we stand a chance is if everyone else pulls out. And if that happen, would we really want him? We would clearly be far from his first choice.
5.) 26 Jun 2025 16:59:48
Kurtis in what way do you think the club have shown complacency and incompetence this summer?
6.) 26 Jun 2025 17:30:26
Goykeres will sign for united this summer i think.
7.) 26 Jun 2025 17:54:09
Gyokeres will come to us once we've sold sancho and co.
8.) 26 Jun 2025 22:33:56
As much as Liverpool have done some good business on paper, I’d be cautious.
There’s a lot of change and it’s unlikely every signing will work out.
9.) 27 Jun 2025 07:38:07
Liverpool are apparently after Iask.
10.) 27 Jun 2025 07:54:49
Some wishful thinking there Utd Road?
{Ed077's Note - it is a lot of change to a Title winning team. Let's see if all just hit the ground running or it takes a few games to get it going for them.
06 Jun 2025 15:00:07
Sport 1 have just reported that Bayern Munich met Antonys agent to explore a deal, before they decide to submit a bid for him. Agent also talking to Leverkusen who have already made an offer to the player. Maybe the agent adding a false BM rumour to push for better terms for lederhosen but personally I couldn't care less if its true or not as long as we get a decent chunk back quickly for him.
1.) 06 Jun 2025 20:43:32
Careful Captain Obvious, you run the risk of being called out by the sarcastic w##k##s on here if you post a rumour.
2.) 06 Jun 2025 20:54:35
To be fair Bayern did consider signing him before we did. Although they thought he was worth no more than 35m at the time. So I wouldn't be surprised if they at least explored the idea again.
3.) 06 Jun 2025 21:41:05
The irony is, if he wasn’t already ours, after his last few months we’d probably be looking at him! :D.
4.) 07 Jun 2025 11:04:42
Spenno, he clearly isn't as bad a player as he was with us.
Maybe he didn't suit the EPL, maybe the spotlight at United was too much, maybe the club wasn't set up to give him the platform he needed to thrive, maybe the transfer fee (which was always way too much) was too big of a millstone around his neck, or maybe he just couldn't settle in England.
There are a multitude of possible reasons for why he flopped, and in reality it's probably a bit of all of them.
If we can move him on without taking a loss then that is best for all involved. I'd also wish him the best with the rest of his career and hope he does well elsewhere. I don't think his failure at United was for a lack of effort.
I think he suits a league that is not as physically demanding. He's quick enough, but not blindingly fast. In other leagues that is fine for a wide player, but in the EPL you are up against full backs who are very quick, if you aren't faster than them then you won't be able to get away from them. Likewise he's not a weak player, but he isn't a physically strong player either. Meaning that he not only can't get away from players, but that most of them are physically stronger than him and overpower him.
In the EPL you need to have at least one outstanding trait to thrive. You either need to be faster than 99% of players, or physically stronger than most players. If you don't have one of those physical abilities then you need to be in the top 2 or 3% of players in terms of technical ability/ tactical intelligence of the game.
In the EPL there are many players at teams that will finish between 15th and 8th who would be first choice in most other leagues for any team finishing 3rd or 4th in the league. The financial might of the EPL means that even the team that are considered not good, are still significantly better than most other sides around Europe. The EPL also attracts the best managers from across Europe, managers like Emery at Villa, Silva at Fulham, Nuno at Forest, Frank at Brentford and Glasner at Palace would all easily walk into UCL teams in all other leagues across Europe.
It's the toughest league in Europe, probably the world to be successful in. Not all players coming into the league will succeed, and you absolutely have to have some outstanding traits/ skills/ abilities if you are to be able to compete in this league. Antony just doesn't have any, good at many things, but not outstanding at anything.
If he goes to Bayern I think he'll do well there, playing for the dominant side, surrounded with great players, in a less physically demanding league that tends to have a lot of transition style football and space for attackers. Whether Bayern firm up interest and behaviour willing to pay what we need remains to be seen.
5.) 07 Jun 2025 22:17:03
It's funny how those teams in a less physically demanding league seen to be able to beat the English teams more often than not when winning the Champions League.
6.) 08 Jun 2025 06:25:18
Salford, European games are played at a different pace and officiated to a different standard.
For example you can't even jump next to a keeper and challenge for an aerial ball in European games without being penalised. Or lift your foot above knee height.
EPL teams cannot play the same way in Europe as they do in the EPL.
7.) 08 Jun 2025 06:50:22
Technical ability….
31 May 2025 18:22:59
Heard from a friend in Hamburg that he has heard from Felix Nmecha, who he grew up with that Man Utd are seriously planning on going in for him late in the window of they move players out. His agent has already discussed with Utd recruitment reps with an outline deal. Dortmund don't yet know. He is hoping someone else bids and then Dortmund accept so that sets the price lower as they will demand more if Utd are the first bidders because they think we would overpay.
1.) 01 Jun 2025 07:25:45
Mr Obvious, I suspect Dortmund might have an inkling. There is a YouTube video captioned "This is why Manchester United want Felix Nmecha. "
2.) 01 Jun 2025 08:27:47
Ssssssssh. Keep it quiet. Dortmund don’t know yet! Really…. The mind boggles!
3.) 01 Jun 2025 11:40:08
I have it on good authority that those who run Dortmund spend at least 2 hours every day on manunitedrumours. co. uk in order to make sure they do not miss our transfer news/ rumours.
4.) 01 Jun 2025 13:00:49
And Dortmund got a friend in Hamburg too! So they are well clued up.
5.) 01 Jun 2025 13:28:56
He's the type of midfielder we need, athletic box to box player who'll work hard off the ball and look to progress it forward.
Ederson is the other name we've been most strongly linked with, yet he will likely cost a lot and we might need to look for better value alternatives.
Maybe players like Eliot Anderson or Lamine Camara.
6.) 01 Jun 2025 16:15:30
Baleba?
7.) 01 Jun 2025 16:59:26
Spenno, Baleba would be the dream signing, but let's be real Brighton will want close to 100m if not more.
He looks better the Caicedo did when he was at Brighton, and he sold for 115m. Which kinda sets the precedent.
No way we can afford anything even close to that.
8.) 01 Jun 2025 17:12:31
Baleba will cost more than Ederson and all other names mentioned. Brighton will ask for circa £100m, similar to Caicedo, he is terrific player but to expensive.
My own hope is that we go for Ederson, he is a fantastic player, not just defensively but offensively also. His skillset is perfect for RA, he is also fantastic at pressing.
He would be my first choice for any signing this summer, time will tell. Would be good if Atalanta came in for for someone we are looking to move on and do some deal around that.
Suspect he will end up at City, aaargh.
9.) 01 Jun 2025 17:19:14
I didn't have him in that bracket tbh.
10.) 01 Jun 2025 20:54:21
No need to be snarky gents, I told you a rumour I heard. That's kind of the point of the site. Dot. Think the attitudes are called for.
11.) 02 Jun 2025 01:24:50
Some people can't control their self when armed with a keyboard Captain Obvious.
Great rumour ?.
12.) 02 Jun 2025 03:14:45
Utd really need to buy the whole Brighton recruitment staff. Their setup is fantastic.
13.) 02 Jun 2025 08:09:43
Oh, the irony of your response, Mr Obvious. It's also a BANTER site, old chap.
14.) 02 Jun 2025 09:39:46
Cheers Mr. Obvious. Good post.
15.) 02 Jun 2025 14:32:15
Can we just ask Brighton who they would buy to replace Baleba, that said his contract runs till 2028, we might able to afford him by then.
16.) 02 Jun 2025 20:13:13
Big fan of Felix Nmecha
He is good at passing as well as being very solid defensively.

On a lighter note, has anyone seen Shappy, i'm getting troubled by being able to read posts in less than a minute rather than having to go and make a brew and grab some hobnobs whilst I plough through a monologue. i'm losing some timber here like i'm on Ozempic through lack of reading material.
1.) 18 Sep 2025 16:44:39
Pretty sure he's an educator of some sort so it may coincide with the youth having started back at school.
2.) 18 Sep 2025 18:00:04
Definitely an "educator of some sort" ?
September is always crazy, we're short staffed and I've got more on my plate than normal.
3.) 18 Sep 2025 18:28:59
Knows how to hit those word counts!
4.) 18 Sep 2025 18:44:51
Isn’t it Geography you teach Shappy?
5.) 18 Sep 2025 19:37:05
Yes Grim, it is for my sins. Massive shortage of Geography teachers right now. Pretty sure it's still a 25k tax free bursary to train as a Geography teacher right now. You interested? ?.
6.) 18 Sep 2025 20:27:26
I suspect that the fact that the tax free bursary is a higher take home pay than you earn once you've qualified might have something to do with the shortage, Shappy.
7.) 18 Sep 2025 22:24:53
Danny, I've never met a teacher or ex-teacher who left because of the money.
You know what you'll get when you sign up. It's the working conditions which is why there is a shortage.
It's no coincidence that the teachers with degrees in the most adaptable subjects (STEM and Geography) are the ones which suffer most with shortages.
8.) 19 Sep 2025 02:45:31
In general Shappy am sure you are right. Teachers do it for the right reasons not just financial. Compare that to tube drivers (not a particularly difficult job) on £50k pa for a 38hr work (with free travel for spouses) who strike to earn more for less hours!
9.) 19 Sep 2025 02:46:00
Isn't Google maps doing all that business these days Shappy ?.
10.) 19 Sep 2025 11:33:18
shappy
That's one of the most respectful professions and hats off to you bud. I agree the pay should be much higher.
15 Aug 2025 12:13:16
Ed, can we have a poll please on waht readers think is the minimum we should accept for buying clubs for sancho, 15 20 25m Antony 30 35 40, hojla. d 35 40 45 and garncho 40 50 60 m to make sure we are not held to ransom on underpriced players and being prepared to call clubs and players bluffs and stand firm with okay, we pay your wages so sit on the bench til January whilst you amd your suitors have a rethink. I would be especially pissed if we let Chelsea away with anything less than 50 for Garnacho and frankly would insist on 60m or he's going nowhere but the reserves for an attitude readjustment.
{Ed033's Note - Please make it easy for me, for a poll, i need a question and possible options to vote.
1.) 15 Aug 2025 14:27:38
The irony that Captain Obvious was far from Obvious with his instructions for the Poll.
2.) 15 Aug 2025 14:27:40
Do we need a poll? Can people not just comment, although too many players and too many options for me.
3.) 15 Aug 2025 14:42:20
Sancho, can of beans
Anthony, 40
Rasmus, 50 (or keep or loan)
Garnacho, 45 + 20% future sale.
4.) 15 Aug 2025 14:47:45
Sancho - 20m
Antony - 35m
Hojlund - 40m, 25pc sell on
Garnacho - 45m, 25pc sell on.
5.) 15 Aug 2025 14:48:38
You do understand we can't do that captain obvious?
Unless you want to fail psr.
You can't just add a bunch of players and costs without selling some.
If we don't sell those played we will breach the psr rules.
So its not a case of 'if you don't go e will stick you in the reserves' we need to shed their wages.
Just relax and let the people in charge get on with their jobs.
They will get what they can.
Players have the power. Garnacho has boxed us into a corner and said I'll only sanction a move to Chelsea. So they will try to pay as little as possible knowing the situation.
Same with sancho he will only go where he wants.
Its a tactic we used with mbeumo and sesko but we had to pay top dollar as neither club had to sell.
6.) 15 Aug 2025 15:13:49
Dodgy is that number of cans?
7.) 15 Aug 2025 15:44:09
Sancho - afternoon date at Wigan pier.
Antony - night out in Blackpool.
Rasmus - weekend in Paris.
Garnacho - full week in Disneyland, all inclusive family ticket.
8.) 15 Aug 2025 16:15:46
Danny has it for me. Otherwise I don’t care.
9.) 15 Aug 2025 16:51:59
Garnacho 35m anything else a bonus
Sancho 20m if we’re lucky
Antony probably be a loan
Rasmus 40m if very lucky
Most think these players not good enough for one reason or another
RA made it clear to everyone he don’t want them
Why do you seriously think anyone would be stupid enough to pay more than is needed to buy them, every clubs knows we got no choice but to sell or loan them RA was very naive in dealing with these players, but that’s history, so just sell them and move on, besides none of them would be missed they not good enough.
10.) 15 Aug 2025 17:06:33
I’ll be happy if we can get rid of Sancho without losing any money (ie, we get more than we have to pay him off) . Antony €25m. Garnacho €45m. Hojlund I’d keep for another season (especially now that Baleba isn’t happening and we’re not as desperately in need of cash) .
11.) 15 Aug 2025 17:07:54
He was not very naive german. He finally is forcing the club to do what needs to be done. Finally it feels like football is becoming the priority and not money. We will be better in two years because of it. Doubters beware, we are in the way back now, it will take time, but we have finally turned the corner.
12.) 15 Aug 2025 18:10:05
I’m not arguing about what he done or doing, but to think it’s not naive telling the world you don’t want them, you can’t them moan that derisory offers come in for those same unwanted players
Do you not think other managers just think wait and offer low money or loans and we have to accept because we don’t want them back, that’s naive by anyones standards.
13.) 15 Aug 2025 18:21:09
We don't have to sell them this window, so back to OP, stick to guns and demand what we want, or they train alone for a few months and don't ay a game. Their agents will be the ones being tormented by these beats so may just do their jobs.
14.) 15 Aug 2025 21:35:25
They needed pushing out. They needed to know that they would not play so that their agents actually tried to find them a club. Otherwise they are happy to just sit tight and push the club to sack the manager in the future.
The club was backed into a corner, these players cannot stay. We are better for it.
15.) 16 Aug 2025 09:21:50
PSR is often quoted for why we don’t buy or must sell before buying. However, please correct me if wrong, I believe it relates to profits over a 3 year period and total losses must not be above a certain amount. The financial year ends 30 June, so any trades right now will be in the accounts 30 June 2026 and it would be the profit filed at that point which counts.
Therefore, providing we have a credit facility big enough we can buy players and don’t have to sell this window. It’s not the window but the financial year that counts. So in theory we could sell by the end of June 26 to have numbers recognised. That’s basic understanding, and am sure the high level accountants will figure it better.
However, that could mean we hold firm and let them think they will or can be left to rot.
27 Jun 2025 19:47:44
I posted the other day about Johnny Cardosa being sold by Real Betis for £25m to Atletico, being good news for nus to move Antony on.
Well now there's no reason at all for Betis not to meet our ask for Antony. They just sold a winger, Jesus Rodriguez to Como for a further £23m.
Hopefully that will see our first sale of the summer, with Sancho not far behind of he can get his massive ego to grasp that he's not worth the salary he's been begging for to leave.
1.) 28 Jun 2025 06:00:17
Clubs like Brighton and Brentford have shown the blueprint: set your price, mean it, and walk away if it’s not met. That’s how you stop being treated like a bargain bin.
2.) 28 Jun 2025 10:04:53
Grim, we are not Brighton or Brentford. We aren't selling players in the ascendancy of their careers, players on lower wages looking to step up to a bigger club.
We are selling players who have flopped at a bigger club on massive wages. These players aren't stepping up to a big club or in most cases not even taking a sideways step to another top club. They are taking a step down to a smaller club, with less money to spend on players and wages.
To his credit Antony is prepared to take a pay cut to move to Real Betis, he is putting playing football and his career above earning huge amounts of money. He should be commended for that, not many players are prepared to do so.
Even with that Real Betis cannot simply afford to pay massive fees for players.
Yes they will have money coming in for Cardoso and Rodriguez. However, both of those players will need to be replaced (which will cost money) . While how those fees are paid will have an impact on their cashflow. They might only be getting 10m up front for each of them with the rest paid in installments.
If they agreed to buy Antony for 35-40m which is what we need to breakeven on the books then you'd expect that they would need to pay around 20m up front with the rest in installments. That would be everything they get up front for the two sales, leaving nothing to pay up front fees for the replacements they will need to buy.
I fully expect Antony to go to Real Betis, but I expect it'll be on a unusually structured deal to make sure that United get what they need, and Real Betis are able to afford him.
It'll probably be something like a loan with an obligation to buy for a set fee next summer. By which point another 10-12m of his cost will be amortised and we would need around 25m to breakeven, a fee that Real Betis is better able to justify/ pay. The problem is his wages, Betis can't afford to pay they all, and United want them entirely off the books and don't want to be paying a proportion of them next season. That is why a shared ownership deal has been proposed, as he'd technically sign a new contract on a lower wage with Real Betis, with them paying a lower fee than United needs to breakeven, but with United still owning a proportion of his rights which hold a book value and can be recouped down the line either with Real Betis buying them or United getting a proportion on any future transfer fee. The legalities of such a deal will be hugely complicated if even possible, so will take longer to put any such deal in place.
25 Jun 2025 12:14:50
Johnny Cardoso is set to sign for Atletico Madrid from Real Betis for £25m Having been signed 2 years ago from Internacional of Brazil, hos book value would be just over £2m, leaving a £23m profit for Real Betis.
As we know that profit can clear circa 5 times that value in actual buying power, but even at a single year means they can easily afford Antony.
It will be interesting to see what happens now and if United are savvy enough to not fall for the poverty pitch from Betis and demand the £35m we should get for him. Or if we fail to get the deal over the line when we know the buying club really wa t and need him and the player has already given them an extra £5m a year free headroom as he agreed a huge wage cut.
This feels like it should happen, but still yet to see enough proof that united are able to play hardball in the new era under Ineos.
In fairness still difficult to do a deal with such a vast overpayment for the player and the identity set by Woodward and the utterly shambolic transfer team I clouding Richard Arnold and John Murtough.

Betis don’t have to worry about PSR and book values. They do have to worry about cashflow, and likely won’t have the resources to pay £40m for Antony even with the extra £25m (which will likely be paid in installments over the next few years rather than all in one go) .
Let’s say they could afford Antony, though. Would they really want to sign him for that kind of fee when they could instead sign four or five Cordoso-style players and potentially be looking at £100m+ worth of assets in 2 years time? Antony is overpriced at anything over £25m and is not the kind of player a club of Betis’ stature should be signing.
2.) 25 Jun 2025 13:49:36
£32.5m spread over 2 years with 20% future sell on clause.
Antony looks like he wants to go there and is willing to push the boat with reduced wages, Betis look desperate to bring him in and we secure potential future money if he has another successful year and a bigger Spanish club come in for him
At this point losing no money on the PSR valuation feels like a win and I have no animosity towards Antony so wish him to do well.
{Ed077's Note - there's one more way Antony can "push the boat" you know ?
3.) 25 Jun 2025 21:33:56
redseven, Betis once broke the world record for a fancy footed Brazilian, let’s hope they can do it again ( or £30m would do it) .
4.) 25 Jun 2025 21:34:01
Redseven. You had me at Antony is overpriced.
5.) 25 Jun 2025 21:40:44
Stick him in the water when he's spinning around Ed?
{Ed077's Note - formal transfer request. Gives up his commission from the transfer fee too.
6.) 26 Jun 2025 02:39:31
2Toms. Blackburn Rovers broke the British transfer record when they signed Shearer, but you don't see them spending tens of millions on a single player these days.
7.) 26 Jun 2025 18:29:57
32 million for Antony not a hope in hell he's no worth half that be loaned out again same as Rash Sancho etc.
30 May 2025 13:40:44
If Hoylund ever pulls on a untd shirt again, I do t think k I bear to watch. 5 yards out, a ball from Fernando's right in front of the net, o ly a defender on the line and he totally miscontrols it. Not onky that but WTF are u trying to take a touch fpr, just whack it in the net.
He is beyond useless, worst striker ever in a Utd shirt. It's embarrassing.
1.) 30 May 2025 14:05:37
What are you talking about! There were 3 chances a couple of yards out that were missed 2 of them were missed by Bruno, one were he tried an unnecessary Rabona and the other by Shea Lacey.
The Hojlund opportunity was a deflection to him from Bruno, and there was a defender right in front of him and their keeper right behind.
I assume you are yet another sad incarnation of Romania-German-Brum Boi-G Nev2 but this has reached a point where it really is quite sad.
2.) 30 May 2025 16:23:00
Whats sad about thinking Hoijlunds gash he's robbing the club your meant to support guys laughing all the way to the bank UTD have way to many happy clappers amongst there support.
3.) 30 May 2025 19:17:16
One thing I can say about Hojlund with absolute certainty is that he is a massive Man Utd fan and has been since he was a young child and want's nothing more than success for his club.
In other words he is the complete opposite of everything you are Sad boi, and however eloquent your use of English, whatever 'gash' may mean, that fact remains he cares and you are just a troll seeking some form of validation. Trust me you will find none here.
4.) 30 May 2025 19:45:49
Aww so we just keep him up top like a highly paid traffic cone because he's a fan wow its not the trophy your needing back its common sense and an actual bit of banter your craics dire my man zero.
5.) 30 May 2025 20:07:29
Whatever I may need, you certainly could benefit from a period of hospitalisation.
6.) 30 May 2025 20:57:21

I agree with DonRed here, this is yet another high risk approach, when we could have had a world class pre. ier league proven keeper.
Im entering fairytale land here and desperately hoping that Onana panics and accepts a Saudi move in the next 3 hours and we grab Martinez aswell.
I don't like this when we know we absolutely need a world class mentality monster. Its a big risk compared to Martinez.
01 Sep 2025 12:07:57
This is the best result we could get given they're paying a decent loan fee for the year and we don't have his wages to pay.
The option to trigger a contract extension runs until the end of January 26, by which time we will be able to see if he is pulling trees up. If he's doing great, then we can say to Villa and Snatcho (our pet name from the vile clown) okay well, we could extend of a year and complicated things so how about you pay us a fee now to sign the player permanently, otherwise as he's having a renaissance we will extend for a year and flog him elsewhere.
The important thing is he is gone. And we have 10m float in wages and a few million loan fee. Whilst notnincurring a PSR loss either.

massive over reaction. itas seriously grim to watch, but we were failed fora simple reason, last night and also against fulham and arsenal. our keepers are utter rubbish andwe don't have a right wing back or cometent midfielders.
we knew tyhat, and we also know that's the previous manager, by far thw biggest idiot ever to manage united, with his delusional approach to only ever signing players who have played for him before, and the leadership who couldn't negotiate a BJ in a brothel.
These massive flaws will take time. That said, Amorim needs to get very quickly unwed to his inssitence of playing to a system that still has 2 major holes in midfield and defence. the keeper issue is ludicrous and how we are payng 20m for lammens when donnarumma is availbel for 26 is nothing short of negligence by INEOS and UTD. a real misstep for me.
I would be ruthless here. Ferguson would have been. Get i'd of Dalot and Mainoo and bring in Baleba or Wharton and a top class RWB along with Donnarumma, NOW, no around, get it done.
we knew it would take 3 summer windows, and we are literally 3 games in. The feelng after week 1 was we were unlucky to beat arsenal. we drew with fulham thanks to rubbish performance yet again from Dalot, and yeah yesterday Amroim was deeply naive not playing his best 11 from the outset and ensuring the narerative didn't even begin. They guys still learning his craft and the Uk leagues. This is NOT his fault, but he does need to be repsoibsle for cutting his cloth acoridng to the resources he has got. Blind faith in any system is a form of extremeism. Flex, and make good decisions. having 5 at the back against a low block until the last 10 minutes was ridiculous.

German talks more crap than Rachel Reeves. If he told me the sky was blue I would look out the window first. I'm convinced he's a galaighting addict.
08 Aug 2025 23:46:11
I think many are going to be surprised with what we sell for on all 4 players, I expect us to generate £100m to £110m, Ratcliffe did a good PR Jon on our finanical position compared to the reality. They will either pay what we want or those players will stay.

Sorry gius. It is don't agree. Look at the actual number of times Hojlund was played the ball, but he couldn't find space, was always getting beaten in the air or in challenges and can't find a pass either and to be honest he couldn't trap a bag of cement.
Just not true he didn't get service, he often couldn't receive service because he didn't find or create space, and when you do nothing when the balls played to you, then players stop playing it to you, because you do nothing with it, so you become your own problem.
Lots of times he had the ball running at or beyond defenders but he just didn't make anything happen.
Id be pleased for him if it worked out, but blaming others for lack of service is folly when he'd rather wrestle a defender than be five yards away from tbem, his movement was shocking, he didn't pull players away to ensure others could progress and he was very often the reason transition broke down rather than a victim of it.
No sense rewriting history because he goes to the top team in Italy in a sub standard league and happens to have an okay, not good, an okay start.

Amen Ken.
06 Oct 2025 16:36:33
Thanks Ken and I am not anti Kurtis, I am anti illogical ultimatums that I really fear in that they might be listened to. Martin Edwards took almighty stick for remaining behind Ferguson, I remember it clear as day.
He stood firm, believed in Ferguson getting rid of the drinking culture and being unafraid to sideline or move on powerful personalities like Robson, Whiteside, McGrath, Kevin Moran, Frank Stapleton, who were always to be found in the Valley Lodge in Wilmslow getting absolutely hammered. Also Neil Webb Arthur Albiston and he made a fair few transfers who didn't last long as they weren't deemed good enough, Desperate Olsen, Gordon Strachan etc. So it wasn't perfect. Even though he brought in Brice and Palliater in 1988 it took 5 more years with a solid defence to win the league.
It feels very much the same now, I think one or two brought in are okay, but not title challenging players. That said they're an upgrade on what we had so again, I view that as a stepping stone and progress.
But it will all fall apart if we don't stick with a manager who is stubborn, REALLY HATES LOSING and boy ypu can see it, and I like that. He is in as much pain as we sometimes are. I've no doubt he's angry and frustrated because despite grafting all week to ensure alignment, one idiot always seems to find a way to drag us backwards. Sometimes we are lucky and sometimes we arent. I wonder what we might have had going on right now if the CF had buried the chancenin the forst 3 minutes when Dalot inexplicably went total AWOL, Ball watching and totally out of position, like Luke Shaw mark2, so fine margins as was said by BRD so poingnantly early in the thread. Such a basic error because he's not good enough. Nothing to do woth systems or WBs compared to FBs, just being crap and not switched on. Another day we are bang in trouble in minutes and at home.
So we deserved that bit of luck, and again having Lammens get away woth one error in position and also saving well with his legs De Gea style.
Its going to be like this for a while and I get the frustration. He's honest woth all the players, and I love that even when Mount said we are all behind him hos reaction was very clear, don't back in in the press, show me on the field, that's where I will trust you all, not the drivel post match we need to do betters or we weren't good enough, shut up making excuses and do your jobs on the pitch, week in and weel out.
So he knows what he is demanding and he's not fooled by some of the charlatans who talk a good game but don't turn up on the field. That all bodes well for the future.
The dissipating and disarming humour when a whole week of media abuse and demands he is sacked and can't carry on met with the first question over meeting Jim Ratcliffe of he offered me a new contract, that popped their balloon well and truly and got the press confer3nce on the right track.
So he can take pressure and he can respond to it, but the reality is he still has players who cannot deal with it, eother through lack of mental toughness, focus, or simply they are out of their depth at United.
Same as that great post by DonRed comparing both other managers and our ex players going elsewhere amd shining. This is Man Utd, you can easily go and hack it eother where there is less pressure, spotlight and challenge or where you're already joining a team winning leagues or champions leagues, you may still be bang average but you are in a top club with top players all around in much lesser leagues.
No ones me toning Marcus this week because happily even though he got a goal, not only did we win, but they got battered by a very average team.
So too Hojlund, whos nailed another goal, but we won so headlines can only be like GNEv, possibly only second to Rooney in ex utd know alls as hopeless managers who couldn't achieve in mediocre challenges never mind at Utd, stating oh he's not out the woods yet, rather than show any balance and say hey they played really well and we're easy winners in the end.
For the record he did tweak the system and pushed Mbuemo further up with Sesko, and that caused Sunderland no end of problems. So tok did telling Lammens to go long and not try playing out from the back. So this inflexibility he made a rod for his own back with should hopefully be a thing of the past, as I said he's stubborn so maybe he was allowing these things to get to him, but he's only young and I think he's showing great potential.
It was great to see a ports saying shame we have the international break before we can get at Liverpool where they're at right now, when is the last time a poster was gutted we weren't able to go straight to Anfield after a home game?
And ypur various posts hit the nail on the head on where we are truly at and what we as fans have a duty to the club and to ourselves to be mindful of, so whilst its a forum for United fans it should also be an area where the centers can vent but also expect to be talked down off the roof and encluraged to drop the extremist solutions and knuckle down and focus on the tasks ahead. The balme lies in the players and the previous administration leaving us still in this position.
Im impatient too. Its so frustrating seeing where all the problems are on the pitch and knowing that we are stuck with them for one or maybe 2 summers. But as Amorim said at the end of last season. We are sorry, but the good times will come again. And I do believe as long as the outside noise is shut out (carragher and merson will be wet dreaming for the next 2 weeks that they can knock us back down into turning on ourselves through their bitter nonsense) and I genuinely still think we will get beat at Liverpool, because we aren't there yet by any means to expect to compete, and certainly the scouser will be very confident. Who knows though, a goal midway through first half and going in at 1 nil at halftime with where they're at right now, and it would make my year to see them turn. on themselves and to see the vitriol pointed back at them. That wouldn't juat quite them for a week, that would turn the tide away from United and onto the woeful form and pe4formabces of the current champions who have far more reason to be splashed negatively all over the media than Amorim deserves right now.
