I don't want Southgate anywhere near the club, but I can't help but know deep down that he would of got results for us with this team.

Not a fan either -but he would come in insist on 2 big centre halves, 2 decent full backs,3 in midfield. maybe 4-4-2 . but we would be a lot more solid and maybe start to look like a well coached team. At this point i'm just Amorim out full stop.

Southgate's only relevant experience is the Premier League where his record reads: got Middlesborough relegated.
We will go down if we appoint Southgate. Regardless what the Atomic Kitten song said he really isn't the one.

He would probably put his hands round the shoulders of the players and maybe get a better spirit and short term might see an improvement in results but I don't think he is an elite manager who would get us back the top. Let's take the pain now to get to a brighter future.

Eric79 I think that's exactly the point. So many people are fixated with formation. The issue is the personnel being chosen. Against Brentford we played 5 players that I would say are either not good enough or just not ready - Bayindir, Maguire, Dalot, Dorgu and Ugarte. That's almost half the team. We can get away with one off games where those players play, or even where just one or two of those are playing. The issue is that when we need a lift in our play, those players are just not good enough. Amorim really made a huge mistake with that line up. But he compounded it by not making a change.

Also Glasner interview, not sure of details but think in German rag. (Not drag) . Although still not sure it’s the best long term if it changes focus away from the leadership team.
