I agree that RA should show more flexibility but the blame really should be with the players. They are paid fortunes and are supposed to be amongst the best in the world. They should have football intelligence. They have no midweek European matches so adequate time to train and prepare for upcoming matches.

If I was hired and paid top wages and given exposure to the best facilities and training then my boss would expect me to quickly understand and implement what I had been taught. If not I would be dismissed.

So why can these overpaid players not seem to grasp what RA is asking them? It's not rocket science. They keep making basic mistakes. That's not the managers fault and it's been a recurring problem under successive managers.

As much as I respect Maguire for fighting G back to regain his place he is patently not quick enough for RAs system and Shaw unfortunately is no longer good enough either. Dalot defensively is prone to go missing. We all know the need to get a better midfield.

If it were possible I would like to give RA another transfer window to get in better players but fear that he won't be given the time especially as more bad results will make the pressure for him to go intolerable. I remember the Tommy Docherty era when we were relegated but it enabled a better team to emerge. I don't want Utd to be relegated because the Championship is a really difficult place to be but it's a real possibility.

If the current players aren't performing or capable of performing then look to the youth players and give them a chance.

If he plays with 3 at the back then play heaven, mdl and Yoro as the back 3.

I got crucified for suggesting the youth before we turned into a new season.

I thoroughly believe we are at a junction where we need to be putting the right players in the right positions.

Players that need to no longer be part of the starting line are.

Maguire, Shaw, Dalot, Amad, Bayindir, Casemiro.
They simply cannot be our first choice.

We need to start Mainoo, our whole game changes when he comes on.
Bruno needs to be moved forward and sacrifice Mbeumo or Cunha, or bench him.
Amad is not a RWB, just the same as Dalot is not one and Shaw is not a CB.
Maguire is a liability. Play Yoro MdL and heaven .

Starting line up for Sunderland.

Lammens
Yoro MdL heaven
Youth RWB Dorgu
Ugarte Mainoo

2 X 10'
Sesko

Let them play the way RA wants them too.

One of reasons he wil get himself the sack is playing the same players each week that are not performing

Like shaw is not a cb. why he continues to play him is a mystery.

You cannot trust that keeper all 3 goals were poor, he never came out to close any angles down on rbw first goal, second one he parry’s it into danger and the third was right at him.

Maguire another one that shouldn’t be playing games anymore

Bruno doesn’t work in cm either drop him completely or put him in his best position and change it up

Dalot and dorgu seem unable to cross a ball what are they doing in training.

We have a 6ft 5 cf and not one ball goes into the box or in behind when he makes runs

The performances are just as bad as last year and the teams that have come up are not as bad as the ones last year

The form is still shocking again, relegation form.

I cannot see how he lasts past Sunderland tbh lose or draw that he most likely will be gone and it’s his own fault fault:

RA is the one who keeps picking Bruno and playing him out of position he also continually plays Dalot and shaw who are both shockingly bad. Add that to 3 slow cbs and we r caught out time and time again. Also we constantly get outnumbered in midfield. Yes changing the players might help but so would making adjustments to provide more support. He seems unwilling to do either.

We obviously do not see what happens on the training ground and I have to believe that the players Amorim picks is based on what he sees there rather than blind faith/ favouritism!

I could also see the logic if he knew these players would be grinding out the wins rather than style to get us through but that does not seem to be the case.

I would like him to be brave, play the players that should be better suited to what he wants and see what they can do. yes could result in it not working but currently neither does the current team.

Bayindir produces great saves but then some very poor decisions. at this point no better than Onana so let's see what Lammens can do.

We are lacking pace for the space between the defence and midfield so let's go with Yoro, De Ligt, Heaven and see what they can do. I also think that Shaw could be utilised in a short period as LWB so maybe bring him on when the game has slowed down a bit, he can be clever and good cross on him. Mazroui on the RWB for me with Amad to bring on with tired legs.

None of the HM's give any confidence so let's see what Mainoo/ Ugarte or Mainoo/ Casimero could do together. will not be perfect but not currently working anyway.

Push Fernandes up into the 10's and rotate between him, Mbuemo/ Cunha/ Mount. run them raged and then use the fresh legs into the second half. It is a squad game so utilise the strengths of the 10's we have. Playing Fernandes deep reduces what he offers and leaves us weak and vulnerable through the middle.

Stick with Sesko for now, he needs to get a run of games and is showing positive signs. Rotate with Zirkzee dependent on the opposition or need in the game.

Lets just try something different. If not we will keep struggling!

Brad they play against each other so probably look great in training

Something needs to change we have not improved at all

Fail to beat Sunderland and he will be sacked our games after the international break look awfull aswell can’t see how this team goes on a run anywhere.
