Kudus and Gibbs white done in 24 hours, negotiations started within the week and closed. that's how its done. While here we are with a Glazer whore at the helm penny pinching. Wheres the fecking money that you said was there to spend?
10 Jul 2025 18:52:17
Don’t worry mate they have a plan… they planned for this.
10 Jul 2025 19:04:03
We are historically shocking at transfers but things are developing, we keep saying don't overpay but want things done quickly that may mean overpaying.
Also, Gibbs white looks like he has a release clause so spurs will trigger that. as we did for Cunha.
Do not kid yourself they the Mbeumo and Kudus situation is the same. completely differing seasons last year with West Ham happy to sell to revamp squad whilst Brentford are happy if Mbeumo stays.
Neither have been holding a spurs shirt up yet.
10 Jul 2025 19:07:44
Perhaps they really wanted them like we did Cunha…… not sure we are 100% sold on Mbeumo or edging our bets because someone more suited out there.
Strikers we have no idea who we are wanting or looking at….
10 Jul 2025 19:13:39
Would you have taken either of them?
{Ed077's Note - I wouldn't
10 Jul 2025 19:30:46
I’ve been genuinely positive but Spurs’ efficiency in the past few days has really wound me up.
Take whatever we can for Rashford (PSR+), sell the likes of Collyer (it’s what Newcastle etc do) and bin off anyone whose name isn’t Yoro, Heaven, Mazraoui, Dorgu, Ugarte, Fernandes, Amad or Cunha if any kind of sensible offer is made.
Get Emi Martinez, Richard Rios, Bryan Mbuemo and Ivan Toney through the door.

UA
If ever there was a single word that comfortably sums up the state of the club, the progress this summer and the disposition of the fanbase, it is most certainly 'Feck' in whichever word class applies.
We are truly in the midst of a muddled feckery.
10 Jul 2025 19:36:44
A business owned and operated by multi billionaires can’t find a couple of million to seal a deal that would make them richer? Mbeumo would get us up the league. Thus earning a few more million.
What am I missing?
10 Jul 2025 19:40:20
Me neither would want either of them… we would be upset if we taken either of those two, so little point moaning about players moving that we have no interest in or at least think we don’t….
Easy to complain about something when you don’t know who they are actually talking to or dealing with at this time and that’s how it should be, we wanted Cunha we got him, I’m not sure we really want Mbeumo maybe talking or hoping for someone more suited, who knows
Let’s just wait and see, we all know we need strikers we need goals, sure they know that too, sure they know we need decent CB and Midfielder, love a GK too, so let’s just wait and see who arrives, long as we get strikers an experienced CB with pace a midfielder with legs who is mobile and can pass and a really good number 2 keeper, I don’t care when they arrive, long as they do…yes in ideal world they already arrived, but it’s not like that unfortunately especially when tight wad got his hands on the purse strings!
10 Jul 2025 19:55:26
Thats irrelevant Key. I am sure the club really want Mbuemo but where are we with that? Striker? CM? We work one deal at a time and take an eternity to get that over the line. How come we are stuck with PSR or whatever that is while Chelsea spend a billion a week and have no issues, same for City. I go back a year and feel if we got the right owners. We will blame everyone once we start poorly but the owners will unfortunately remain and that is where the problem is. Last window we had the excuse that the new management is still not ready and perhaps a year down the line would be a better time to judge. So, are we in a better place? Is the manager being backed?
10 Jul 2025 20:46:59
UA is spot on, ownership has changed, but the level of incompetence remains. We have true football people in place now apparently, but you wouldn't know from our activity.
10 Jul 2025 21:03:33
Funny thing is that INEOS backed the wrong horse last summer and now won’t put any money on the one from their own stable?! ? seriously though they gave eth circa 200m last summer when he should have been gone, then Sacked him 4 months later. Now the guy they handpicked as their first managerial appointment they aren't supporting enough…. baffling!
10 Jul 2025 21:12:22
Chelsea sold their woman’s team to their own investment company for £200m and then bought loads of players on ridiculously long contracts to amortise the costs.
10 Jul 2025 21:19:39
Great point Tim and even more ridiculous Amorim has a different system. Truly baffling indeed!
10 Jul 2025 21:45:44
Grim, Chelsea sold their women's team last summer (2024) but the Premier League had reduced the maximum period of amortisation to 5 years the previous year (2023)
Although they could no longer extend the period of amortisation, the selling of their own team, which may be acceptable to the Premier League, would seem to me to be nothing more than a deliberate ploy to circumvent the rules.
They are still giving these long contract's, Joao Pedro has signed an 8 yr deal. Wonder why are they giving such long deal's, doesn't really make sense.
10 Jul 2025 22:07:41
MGW has a release clause, Spurs have paid it, we did the same with Cunha, signed him ages ago.
10 Jul 2025 22:11:09
This is what happens when incompetence gets replaced with more incompetence.
Look at the state of Nice under Ineos. Why did anyone expect anything different.
10 Jul 2025 23:12:58
You don’t bid twice if your not sold on the player
Brenford are not asking for a fee that’s over pricing him imo.
It’s just ridiculous how we go about transfers.
The club need to wake up we finished 15th
Those that finished in the top 5 are spending and improving we will be lucky to finish 10th.
10 Jul 2025 23:42:40
Bolger the way things went last season we as fans would see 10th as an improvement. That’s the problem and that’s what the owners are hoping for. I see a lot of people online praising Ineos for standing firm on their valuation and saying they are setting a precedent. While I agree it’s good to do that I’m not sure that being so rigid and taking months to do deals will really encourage other teams to do business with us moving forward.
11 Jul 2025 00:10:22
Am sorry but until we have knowledge not speculation about how transfers are being pursued any moaning is premature at best and helps no one. Let the club do its work and if later it is proved that there was serious failings then that is the time to weigh in.
11 Jul 2025 00:44:59
German. I would suggest we need a really good No1 keeper before we get a No2!
11 Jul 2025 04:54:07
I certainly agree Keefy we need any number 1 that’s better than the clown, but who in all seriousness is going to buy the clown and we ain’t just going to roll over and lose 40-50 million, so bring in a very good number 2 like a loan deal for TerStegan means he would take the clowns place in a matter of weeks, we are not going to spend another 40 million on a proper number 1 whilst this clown won’t move anywhere….
11 Jul 2025 06:46:32
Sell Bayindir (most realistic) and promote Vitek. Problem solved, no outlay.
11 Jul 2025 07:20:46
Jimbo I think that is what will happen, however if vitek is given an opportunity it won't be long before he replaces onana, he looks an excellent prospect.
11 Jul 2025 07:29:36
They can't buy more until they move on players.
They are Stuck at a price with Brentford because they moved the goalposts and wanted a bit of a bidding war. United do not want to be seen to pay whatever, and give into club demands, we have had a very bad name for that.
Guys, the financial problems that this club faces are massive and we need a few windows to balance so we can compete fairly.
I'm not sure what people don't understand, we are in a bad bad place financially. We have to sell to buy, that's it.
We will have 2 in, Cunha and Mbeumo (shortly) and then we move onto other targets as soon as the Loooooonnnnnggggg list of players are gone.
I have no doubt that the team in charge now know exactly what they are doing but it's not a case of clicking their fingers and boom, we are back competing with top 4 for signings. We are way off right now.
Patience is a virtue. Let's see how the window goes and draw our own conclusions at the end of it.
11 Jul 2025 15:14:51
Vitro is not at the level required to be number 1, so problem not solved, bad as saying Zirkee being our number 9, it’s just a pipe dream and wishful thinking.
