Hi ed002 hope you don't mind me asking but has the situation with Ddg changed since you last told us the club had messed him about with his contract?

wiggy677

{Ed002's Note - No, there is still no agreement on a new contract.}

1.) 05 Jul 2019 21:14:22
Thanks for the quick reply! 1 more question if that's OK, are there any clubs showing an interest in signing Ddg? Thanks for your time.

{Ed002's Note - If he becomes available there will be interest but timing is everything with PSG looking to someone else.}

2.) 05 Jul 2019 22:58:36
Donnnnnaninananrma from ac Milan?

{Ed002's Note - Right.}

Good morning ed002
Have Utd shown any interest in defender Ozan Kabak?
Thanks for your time.

wiggy677

{Ed002's Note - Ozan Kabak is a young centre back who has signed a new contract with Galatasaray so any immediate move is unlikely - and to boost his value - but much is expected of Kabak and he has attracted scouts from Manchester City, RB Leipzig, Arsenal, Fortuna Dusseldorf, Manchester United and, in particular, Inter Milan whose interest (together with Manchester City) led to the new contract. Should stay where he is or look to Germany - otherwise he would be lost at any English side.}

28 Aug 2014 14:13:30
hey eds, a name I don't recall seeing mentioned on here, sorry if he has, is Antonio rudiger, do you know if we have any interest in signing him?cheers ed.

wiggy677

{Ed002's Note - There was interest a while back - I don't know if any remains.}

04 Aug 2014 12:57:16
hi ed's, a few weeks back I seem to remember you mentioning that utd and a few other clubs were interested in jordie classie, is interest in him still there? Also has anything changed with regards to Memphis Depay? thanks for your time.

wiggy677

{Ed002's Note - Forget Depay - he will move elsewhere, perhaps as early as this week.}

1.) Thats a bit of a quick change from your reply on the earlier post eds.
Depay is a genuine option?

{Ed002's Note - It should have said Clasie.}

2.) Sorry eds. but is it clasie that's a genuine option? Cheers

{Ed002's Note - Depay.}

3.) 04 Aug 2014 21:34:32
Is there any truth in depay moving to Milan after he was spotted there taking pictures with fans whilst wearing a Milan shirt?

{Ed002's Note - Give me a break.}

04 Jul 2014 15:40:42
hey ed's is there really anything in this rumour about Evra and a potential move to Juventus?

wiggy677

{Ed002's Note - There has been interest.]

Hi ed002 hope your good, just been reading your transfer update on the spurs page, any chance we can have one here when time allows? Thanks for your time!

wiggy677

{Ed002's Note - Maybe in a wweek or two - remind me.}

07 Aug 2019 19:44:40
Berahino released by Stoke, worth a punt as he's a free transfer?

wiggy677

{Ed047's Note - you’re gonna get pelters for this one!

1.) 07 Aug 2019 19:47:29
What you been smoking? Can I have some.

2.) 07 Aug 2019 19:59:46
Peter crouch has recently retired. Perhaps we could convince him to come out of retirement to replace Lukaku.

3.) 07 Aug 2019 20:05:39
Llorente incoming!

4.) 07 Aug 2019 20:17:11
I'd take crouch. Just as long as his Mrs models all future kits at the launches.

5.) 07 Aug 2019 20:09:56
Really Ed? Thought it was a sensible suggestion myself.

{Ed047's Note - would you really want him for free, for what wiggy? Your youth players are so much better surely, he’s been released for a reason.

6.) 07 Aug 2019 20:32:25
I remember a few years ago on here where there was a lot of talk of us signing Berahino, some for, some against. I even suggested either him or Charlie Austin in one post! I must have been very drunk in the summer of 2015.

{Ed047's Note - he’s had 3 convictions for drink driving, one was in 2015, where you with him RJ, 😂, last one in May when he was 3 times the limit, not played since Feb and had 3 years left on his contract.

That is a massive swerve for me RJ.

7.) 07 Aug 2019 20:36:24
Lol sorry ed, my original post was meant to be a wind up, sarcasm gets lost in txt.

{Ed047's Note - 😂 no worries mate.

8.) 07 Aug 2019 20:38:03
We should have got welbeck back.

9.) 07 Aug 2019 20:47:47
To be fair bolger he is better than some that have been mentioned.

10.) 07 Aug 2019 20:52:19
I know Ed, just goes to show, many fans complain about Pogba, Lukaku, Sanchez etc but they are ultra professional and committed to their careers when compared to players like Berahino who appear to have gone off the rails.

It's a shame to see because it's obvious young players like him or Ravel Morrison have a huge amount of talent but it's wasted due to a mixture of external influences and their own attitude.

{Ed047's Note - you’re not wrong mate and like Ravel he’s going to waste what should of been a great career.

11.) 07 Aug 2019 20:53:58
do not believe you wiggy i think you were deadly serious.

12.) 07 Aug 2019 21:02:11
Re: Welbeck. If there is some truth in the latest round of rumours we re chasing Inaki Williams - which looks a bit like Welbeck.
We might as well got the original one for free instead forking out 88 million for a clone :)

13.) 07 Aug 2019 21:11:40
I'll leave you to ponder that daz.

14.) 07 Aug 2019 21:15:02
Say whhaattt 🤪🤪.

Question for ed001 if possible. I always love to read your opinions on players and without getting ahead of myself as they haven't played much top level football, how high can you see greenwood and brewster going in the game? England, Liverpool and utd look like they might be lucky for the next 15 years if things go to plan.

wiggy677

{Ed001's Note - they have incredible ability both of them. Greenwood's touch and technique is excellent. Brewster is the same. The issue is that both have to be given starts, not just sub appearances, they need experience and their feet kept on the ground and they can be top class. Ability-wise they are ahead of Kane at the same age, but they need to have his dedication to improving himself if they are going to make it.}

1.) 20 Jul 2019 17:40:31
Ed, I can’t speak for Brewster getting game time at Liverpool due to your strength going forward. But it looks like mason could get plenty of time with us, and i would love to see him getting it from the right in that type of inside forward role salah plays. The boy is special, and he is also a very good creator too.

{Ed001's Note - I expect both to get a lot of game time this season, Brewster would have played the role Sturridge did early season if not for injury that ruled him out for the season. I also expect Greenwood to get a lot of time, Man Utd has always prided itself on academy products and Ole knows it is part of his job to bring them through.}

2.) 20 Jul 2019 18:01:31
@Ed001

I think Greenwood has a better chance of getting starts and with our failure to recruit a right winger this summer it looks like he will be given a go. He is showing on Tour that he's our best player in that position and if there are any concerns about his ability on the defensive side of things we have AWB who has been an absolute beast at RB so far. Its almost as if every one v one with a winger is like a challenge that he just hates to lose. Incredible competitiveness.

What do you make of Tahith Chong? I think he is a good player too and he deserves starts as well.

Chong and Greenwood need to be given starts. What do we have to lose? Is Lingard, Mata, Lukaku (we've played him right wing) any better than them? We don't really have any other wingers bar Martial (who I think is a better striker than a winger) .

{Ed001's Note - Chong is good but I don't think he is as ready as Greenwood.}

3.) 20 Jul 2019 19:20:37
I must say Ed I am very impressed with the little I’ve seen of Brewster. He looks like a real goal scorer. My mate is a huge Liverpool fan and he reckons Brewster will play more than origi this season. I’ve a feeling both will get capped before the start of next season.

Do you know if there are any plans for angel Gomes Ed? He’s got a lot of ability and I guess I’m wondering if he will feature much next season or go on loan perhaps?

{Ed001's Note - I am expecting him to go on loan mate.}

4.) 20 Jul 2019 21:01:05
I think a loan move would be great for him, just needs to be the right one. He needs to develop physically so hopefully he can stay in England.

5.) 21 Jul 2019 01:54:54
Chong will move out remember our players are awful, Manchester is s wast land it almost liable.

04 Nov 2018 19:38:09
Hey ed001 i'd love to hear your thoughts on Bournemouths David Brooks, I've watched him at sheff utd last season and now at Bournemouth and have been really impressed with him, he's quick in movement and in mind, can finish, isn't shabby defensively, can put his foot in and is suprisingly very strong on the ball, be good to get your view on him as i love reading your player reviews, cheers.

wiggy677

{Ed001's Note - I have added him to the profile list, I have seen quite a bit of him over the years, even as a kid at Man City, when he was seen as too lightweight for the English game.}

1.) 04 Nov 2018 22:28:32
Been very impressed with him wiggy. Very cultured on the ball. Seems to have the perfect manager in Howe for his development at this early and critica stage of his career. Still has a lot to learn but if he keeps his head down at Bournemouth and keeps on improving and learning, then I don’t see why he can’t make a move to bigger and better things.

29 Jun 2018 12:25:53
Hey Ed002,

Just wondering if you have any information on Timothy Fosu-Mensah and whether the club plan to use him in the 1st team squad or send him on loan again? Thanks for your time.

wiggy677

{Ed002's Note - Timothy Fosu-Mensah would not be first choice so he has to bide his time and look for a loan. Valencia were interested in having join to try for the RB position with Montoya after Cancelo came and went and Vidal not been seen as good enough, but they would not want a loan.}

1.) 29 Jun 2018 12:58:51
Thanks for your reply, one more question if that's ok, has there been any interest in Juan Mata and would the club be willing to sell him? thanks again.

{Ed002's Note - He was considered by Real Madrid earlier in the year but they have a solution for that problem now. Barcelona has Mata on a list of players that could see one as an unlikely arrival, but he isn’t first choice.}

Not a clue, ed002 has said it's made all interested clubs back away.

Ed002 has repeatedly said clubs have backed away due to an issue with him, neres from ajax was the last name ed002 mentioned for RW but I'm guessing that won't come to anything now.

People moaning about the money, why? How does it have any effect on how we support the team which is what we should be doing, not worrying about money. Maguire wouldn't of been my choice a few weeks ago but he has many positives, great in the air, a constant threat attacking corners, he's used to the prem so should settle quickly and the main one for me is he plays on the left letting lindelof play in his favoured position.

I agree jred me and my wife have been lucky enough to work everyday, I run my own family business, we're Agricultural Engineers but also have a diy/ garden centre where we have been able to stay open and set up a system where my customers can be as safe as possible but at the end of the day there is still a risk considering how busy we have been but I feel I have helped a lot of people keep a certain amount of their sanity, the mental health side of this is going to be a massive problem if people don't keep themselves busy so as long as people are sensible and use their common sense when they go out I can't see a massive problem with it, to say your in gods hands if you go to the park is over the top imo and a minimal risk compared to going to the supermarket, like jred said we have to start to learn to live with it, we can't stay locked down until there is a cure because that might never come, even then not everyone will get vaccinated.

From the u18s the standouts from what I've watched would be Hannibal Mejbri, Hoogewerf and Mengi, Elanga and sotona also look standouts in that age group. In the u23s I still think Garner will step up and now Chong has signed a new deal maybe a loan next season will be best for him. Maybe a player who doesn't get mentioned much who could get a chance would be Aliou Traore and also Ethan Laird, obviously not all those will make it but they have been standouts in their age groups, hope this helps.

I'm not sure it was greed more the fact neither James or martial had the composure or vision to look for the pass, both were pretty simple cut backs.

Come on shappy you can't be serious, I played in goal myself and know even the slightest deflection can leave a keeper helpless, that was a massive deflection he stood no chance.
