Perhaps ETH can take De Boer record played 9 lost 9 and last 10 games and lose them all! That's the standard of trying to bring Dutch football to the premier league!

Supposed to be building a team well he started with awful foundations and you can't blame Arnold and Murtough they have pampered ETH signings, and somehow numpties are blaming them for supplying ETH with what he wanted!

Pretty sure FDJ, Antony, Timber and Darwin Nunez were all players that EtH asked for.

Yet I don't see them in the Manchester United squad list.

No doubt the club are trying to back the manager. Yet many fans when asked which side they dress reply with both.

I remember many fans blaming the club for José's demise. He wanted Maguire, he wanted a CB yet the club gave him Fred.

There are dozens of examples over the past 9 years where the club went rouge and foisted a player on the manager. Whether it was because they were cheaper, or a big name to boost the brand it doesn't matter. The club have never successfully managed to sign a "club" signing which has gone on to be successful. They all fizzle out and flatter to deceive, because none are picked to match the current managers brief/ criteria, but on who someone else at the club thinks.

Why would you assume that any choices the club make this summer would be any better than the 15 or so mistakes they have made over the past 9 years?

What evidence do you have to suggest that any other player our failed and broken recruitment team would be any better than the players EtH picks out.

There is none, it's all fanciful thinking in your head.

Wheres the mouse when you need it. I have some cheese that needs to be swallowed whole.

3.) 15 Aug 2022 09:36:39
People blaming ETH for this, did you watch us last season? Have some patience, we have a progressive manager trying to instil tactics on to a team of stupid poor footballers who have no idea how to use them. It will take 3 or 4 windows for him to have the players that can do it, we need to get off his back and let him build.

4.) 15 Aug 2022 09:38:17
UA, we all know who Swiss is, and as long as they toes the line they won't be banned for the 15th time ?.

5.) 15 Aug 2022 10:20:21
ETH is not to blame obviously but he's not going to get a free pass this season.

He has to show the ability to get this group of players playing in his style of football and get some positive results along the way.

Klopp managed to get mediocre players at liverpool playing in his style of play and get some good performances and results out of them before then signing his new players and building a top team.

Shappy if we go by your view, ed002 has said many times anthony is not available and has many suitors once ajax decides to sell.

Timber also a no go. Fdj has pretty much said no he is not interested weeks ago unless barcelona force him out and then the question is where does he decide he wants to go given a few suitors.

So given the above why did we buy martinez and why have we not moved on.

Did you ever stop to think our entire transfer plans that ralf and people had drawn up was ripped up because eth had his own ideas and that's why we are in a pickle now and in disarray compared to doing our business early.

We can sit here lay blame and pretend we know why but most off the guys you have mentioned except nunez were late changes.

Do you think the other pl teams decided to draw up a transfer list in june/ july or maybe knew in many cases months in advance who they were going to bring in. Player on board, agent on board, club on board.

Imo we are struggling because we changed direction rightfully so for the new manager and some of his desired players are not available. not to us or anyone else. We are not the only team with ambitions, maybe teams like ajax also have ambitions of winning their league, champions league run and financially in a good place where they can say no.

7.) 15 Aug 2022 10:43:05
Gds2 I agree to a certain extent.
The martinez transfer though.
Cant see him working out here. Hope I'm wrong.

8.) 15 Aug 2022 11:02:05
Ajax certainly in a good place financially we are funding them!

I have no idea if ETH is good coach or not, what I do know is his buys have not been great, if your building I would have thought you but some very strong foundations first. Players we purchased and chasing…really none of you would have put any of them in your top 10……

What I also do know is ETH been caught with his pants down as another poster said.

The club probably did have 4/ 5 transfers on the list ETH clearly changed that which is fine, but for gods sake his list not looking like it suits the premier league. But that’s OK let’s blame Murtough and Arnold, for being ask to chase players that are not even available all at short notice!

9.) 15 Aug 2022 11:12:05
Leahy as cb at the moment he will struggle and get picked on. He has not even played against the really difficult number 9’s yet. People who blame mcguire with all his own flaws for martinez shortcomings are kidding themselves. Either good enough to play man to man against guys who are bigger than him or not good enough.

Maybe a season off growing pains and bulking up and getting stronger.

Having shaw and dalot does not help either. Tok many weak points in back 4, that's why we concede goals like swiss cheese.

I hope we start aws and malacia against liverpool. Both mcguire and whoever partners up with him will get pulled out wide to cover for dalot snd shaw and it will be open hunting season for liverpool.

10.) 15 Aug 2022 12:34:07
We are abysmal at getting the right players. Have been for ages. Thiago deal was apparently all but agreed. He wanted 4 year deal, Joel Glazer would only sanction 3. And the rest is history ?.

11.) 15 Aug 2022 14:27:39
Gazza and Shearer too if we want to live in history!

No one knows the reason behind why many transfers fall by the wayside, mostly all just speculation…. should just worry about the ones we do get!

I would have won the lottery last week if I had bought a ticket…or at least maybe would have won!

LOL. Let him rot in the reserves, that says it all ant… and that really won’t cause a huge circus round the club will it! Where is the mentor some.
Why I don’t condone his behaviour I can very well understand it, when you sit in that changing room and look around at what’s there, he must think Jesus this is really bad! And a long long project I’ve got couple of years left and this club going nowhere in that time.
And when he sees what is being bought in he must think this is 5 years project!

Perhaps ETH don’t like what he sees in Garner!, you want manager to have control over comings and goings but because a player you like might go, it’s all wrong…. what do you want ETH in charge of comings and Goings or not!

I personally think some of ETH decisions been dubious to say the least, but you either buy in to him or not, not pick and choose when it suits you.

If we need total rebuild which we do, then the first signings need to be correct and I’m afraid the first signings are not the building blocks required neither are the ones being mentioned, Ten Haag needs to reevaluate or walk away now and let’s start a proper rebuilding job

If he stays he needs to sit down and take a good hard look at himself and realise his ex players are not what’s needed at united and in premier and start a proper rebuild with required personnel…….

And you know what mumbles, pound to a penny, if he was given a chance at united and in 10 games scored 10 winning goals most on here would forgive him and cheer his name… that’s what’s wrong with the world we live in today unfortunately!

The club is valued at 3 billion minimum, so a debt of 500 million is chicken feed, virtually any business will have loans secured against, it’s the way of most efficiency…… that’s not even a problem, and no potential buyer would even see it as such, your reading too much in to a debt of less then 20% of clubs value….

Your making it up as you go along, OK he don’t want to stay, yes they should sell him. if they can!

But listen to yourself you and virtually everyone on here says McGuire is useless and should be dropped, and now because you heard some speculation that Ronaldo virtually said the same to McGuire, that’s a stick to beat Ronaldo with…. your beyond help

Let’s be fair Sancho is an ego waiting to happen, Varane is waste of time, Martinez is no better, McFred useless, full backs very poor, Rashford out of form, ETH trying to do something! But the problem is Ronaldo. LOL.

Sky if they had balls and not worry about Money same as `glazers are ridiculed for, would sack Neville and would have never let Carragher back, but they no different from any business it’s about money at end of day, money overtakes principles money overtakes common sense.
