Okay, so where does improvement come from?

I do think new coaching ideas will improve some of these players over time. There were a few chinks of good play through midfield which echoed some of the EtH training videos with the squad.

What must be concerning is that even when we get our wide forwards in a little space, or 1 vs 1, we create very little. I think are in desperate need of a goal scorer for the first team who can displace rash, sancho or fernandes. Perhaps garnacho or eriksen can do this, but we don't seem to be testing that even for 30 mins at the end of a game?

Ronaldo situation needs to be resolved, but in fairness to him, the quarter chances we created for him yesterday, he did almost fashion headers on target from pretty poor Dalot crosses. If he goes, we need a proper number 9 striker to come in, who can score goals in the 6 yard box. None of our squad do that.

It is obvious we need midfield upgrades. A build up player is critical, clock is ticking.

I think we need a starting right back, dalot can be back up, but not first team, not good enough.

Malacia should start ahead of shaw.

We need to choose a CB partnership and stick with them, let them form a partnership. It is always tough when a new partnership is formed, there will be pains as they learn to play together.

Anyone else concerned about set pieces? Our team looks very small and weak in the air. Drop mcguire for varane and possibly even worse. With DDGs lack of command on crosses that could well be our Achilles heal this year, once we stop gifting straight forward chances.

Agree partnership needs to be formed at the back just not Maguire in that.

There's no improvement. The players aren't good enough. A bunch of overpaid average lazy. No heart no drive.
I said it all along. Who's going to improve. Bought a 5ft6 defender and all the big old fashioned number 9s are coming back. I said it before the game yesterday.
What happened to torres thought we were scouting him for 2 years.
It's, a joke.

Sounds like you might still need some healing time after yesterday leahy! Don't blame you, it was a train wreck.

Dodgy. I was disappointed that's for sure but I wasn't shocked. The writing was on the wall. Same bunch of players same attitude.
You could pick out 1 or 2 players going back the years that weren't giving it all.
In the here and now I can pick 11.
Its a shambles and a disgrace what's going on from top to bottom.
But we still have to get behind Manchester united and hope. That all we can do now.

Liverpool fan in peace here - for me personally, the best thing that could happen to UTD in this moment is getting rid of Gary Neville on Sky Sports and Social Media. I’m too too long in the tooth for the rivalry I’ve heard it all before, but Neville’s tweets with his smug face and bottle of red wine every time Liverpool slip up, is just giving every fan bullets to fire a week later, he is doing you no favours what so ever. I know you consider him to be Mr Man Utd after he ran 90 yards to celebrate after the 2-1 win that time in front of us (and I was in the old K stand that day) but I think he’s making things worse for you with his meltdowns. Last night with Redknapp ( who I don’t like by the way) although he had some good points, made the 4-0 loss even worse because it’s what everyone wants to see, and it adds more and more pressure every week.

I think he is the toxicity you want rid of first before the Glazers, he’s a petulant kid and every week makes you lot a bigger and bigger target which ETH could do without, in my humble opinion.

Anyway lads - good luck. for the rest of season anyways.

Sky if they had balls and not worry about Money same as `glazers are ridiculed for, would sack Neville and would have never let Carragher back, but they no different from any business it’s about money at end of day, money overtakes principles money overtakes common sense.
