Terrible transfer window . said it million times on here people on here disagreed but just not good enough for club of our stature.
See how it unravels now that’s all we can do but with how strong other teams look my optimism is minimal for top 4. Rashford gets injured then what we got up top?
Top scorer last year with 13 goals . yet we don’t invest in striker or playmaker to create goals .
Amount of games playing this year bound to pick up injuries .
Maguire gets injured we have same CB as last season and they were terrible .
Ole won 2 games since January if I’m right . nearly 4months to get players playing
right since he took over.

If everyone gets injured we are stuffed, same as most teams. The team ran out of steam last season, they weren’t fit enough and that was shown quite blatantly in their running stats. Ole has got them fitter already, you’ll see a different team and a different style this season. Let’s have some patience and enjoy the ride.

It has been an inadequate window.
If it finishes this way, the defence has been improved, but we are down two experienced central mids on the start of last season, and have sold our highest scoring attacking player in the last two seasons without replacing him.
In addition we have been consistently told by the most knowledgeable person here that we have behaved like amateurs in this window, and are quickly earning a reputation for stupidity.

Obviously, I don't want this to happen but I am still a bit curious to see the reaction of some people if we don't sign anyone else.
Imagine what this site will be like at the end of the window if we still have Darmian, Rojo, Jones, Pogba, Lukaku and Sanchez but also don't sign any of Maguire, SMS, Fernandes, Dybala, Pepe etc. Meltdown.

Do you know if we’ve had one single bid for the players you’ve mentioned who need moving on? You can’t sell players if no one wants them.
It’s equally important that Ole is getting the squad fit, implementing a style of play and building a united dressing room. So far Pogba has looked happy and relaxed in preseason.
Look at the positives mate, we’ll make signings and hopefully they’ll be who the manager wants, not us fans or the media.

People need to get a grip. The situation isn't ideal but we are working on things and I expect 2-3 more signings. Its a struggle to move on players given the wages their on.

Why always about transfers, why does everyone assume worldies make the difference.
Yeah we need a CB, but the addition of a quality right back will do wonders for the right sided centre back as he won't have to mop up after young game after game. Plus Tuanzebe looks promising.
We don't play with a CDM, plus McTominay looks more than capable of filling a bigger role this year, I'd start him over Matic every time. Plus Fred was looking better towards the end of the season so let's see how he does.
As for RW, Greenwood looks awful doesn't he coming in from the right, shocking player. plus remember you can interchange the front three. Another thought, but we could use Dalot there, great speed, skill and has one of the better deliveries at the club.
Haven't even mentioned Chong, Garner and Gomes.
The other thing is why do you all assume transfers are so easy to complete? Have you ever negotiated a deal like that, I'm guessing not, so stop calling it a joke.
I grew up watching the class of 92, well I was late teens but you get the point. That was exciting and it won't be repeated but I would much prefer we give youth a chance, fill in experience and transfers where we can, where it makes sense, and the players want to play for the club.
Personally looking forward to this year, even if it started tomorrow.

With current situation the squad is in and how terrible the second half of the season was with players performing like division 1 players I can’t believe we have not got rid of any players and only signed two players .
Pre-season has started we should have near as damn it majority of players in and signed to see what system formation etc we will be playing this season.
Yes I understand clubs overpricing players and we have to pay a premium but that’s always going to be the case .
We’ve had terrible season n two signings so far is poor .
Look at Madrid they had terrible season also they gone out got their players in done and dusted with possibly the odd one or two additions to come.
James n Bissaka are not going to be the difference to us competing next season yes they will help but new signings are needed now if not and leave it til later in window we ll be starting the first month of season in pre -season mode where players still getting to know each other and finding their feet, whilst lines of Liverpool n city hit the ground running .

Madrid had a terrible season granted but they are still in the champions league and had been preparing for their rebuild for some time. Also they are a much more appealing club to join than us at the moment so it is not a fair comparison.
The reason we have not got rid of any players is no sensible club will pay the wages of the players we deem surplus to requirements. Everyone and their dog knew the best way to get rid of the likes of rojo, darmian, young, smalling, jones was to let them go for free as their contracts ran out but we gave them new contracts or took up the options in their contracts.

Get used to it, Torqs. We can't just snap our fingers at any given prospect anymore. We've made top 4 twice in the last six years. In less than that time, Madrid have won 3 CL. That alone might mean a little more drawing power.

Been off this site for a while . always popped in and looked at people’s thoughts and rumours.
Shappy couldn’t agree more with Pogba you ve summed it up perfectly .
If honest for me whole squad can get put up for sale except

Lindelof
Rashford
Shaw
Lingard

Rest all need to go . it’ll n never happen but likes of Jones smalling have been conning millions of pounds off Utd every year . Awful . solkjaer not right man for job although always a fan favourite and fletcher and Rui shouldn’t be no where near sporting director etc roles . too much sentiment shown at the club which is nice but doesn’t win you trophies .
