Let's be clear here, these are the same players and Manager that won all round them last season. I don't get this mid week games, we have only started this recently. It's down to attitude and application from players and Management. I get we didn't buy sufficiently in the summer but this squad should be doing much better, they proved it last year.

Another good club servant, a decent man, found to be ultimately out of his depth.

Although the crowd reaction at the end also sums up how he's certainly hasn't been helped by those above, and those on the pitch.

Hard to see him still being in charge for the next game, though I don't doubt he'd stay on with the understanding that he steps down once a new manager is ready to go.

On this occasion I don't believe the players have anything to do with his probable sacking. He is clueless as a manager
Would he have got a top 10 managers job prior to us no, would he now get a top 10 job after us no. So why the f**k was he hired.
Players blamed for not running and he himself saying running stats are not everything.

He has instructed to players to not press to stay compact. When you are that compact you can't run. Completely out of his depth. Players get blasted in the press and by pundits over this yet they are following instructions, I think I would have to speak out.

Was never good enough as I have said for months
I also was barracked when o said Santos and Tielemans are nowhere near level required nor is Cunha I even doubt Lammens is anywhere near what's required or Yoro DeLigt or Martinez and everyone disagreed how is that looking now
Heaven gone backwards and not kicked on
Baleba don't even look that great to me yes he runs around a lot but his passing not great. But give him benefit as early days
But it's a shocking squad
Terrible head coach and coaching team

How on earth anyone thinks any of them including SJR and Wilcox and Barrera Rae good enough is beyond me

Woodgate and evens and Carrick are diabolical and nowhere near level required this squad in a worse place then when SJR come in
Ineos have been final nail in the coffin.

The fresh start did not last long.

If you don't think the players' performances have been a contributing factor, then I don't know what to say.

The players have been guff but carrick is totally out of his depth, it's not one or the other it's both. If the board continue with carrick though it's only going to get even worse.

Yes that’s exactly what I think. They arent being trained correctly, they aren’t fit enough, tactically they are being sent unprepared. As a manager it’s your job to set out a pattern of play a shape to get them fit enough for the rigours of the premier league and champions league. He’s failed on all of these. Clearly the players aren’t happy with the setup. We are playing like a championship club by a championship manager. Since the start of the season there has been huge focus on running stats and a manager who doesn’t believe they are important, they players have been blamed when that just isn’t the truth. They have followed orders.

Omg the players were shocking, lemmens! should have made that, not too sure why he did not!!! Plus why did martitraz stop trying to cover!!!!

Maguire, simply too many games and getting even slower and can't or should not be being relied upon!!!!

But Carrick, certainly not good enough, huge lack of what to do, when you're up against it

Tim, I didn't say one or the other. I said he was out of his depth, and not helped by other factors.

Mr 12.5% keeps on bringing the highlights to this season in the EPL

Give him his dues he does have an overall 16.7% for the season.

I'm seeing signs here.

CATW!!

Wow that was toxic, fans cheering carrick and clapping him and then the minute he hit the tunnel massive boos and chants at the players. Honestly the one good thing that might come from this shambles is uniting the fans against the biggest issue at this club, the rats and INEOS.

Most of those players really couldn't give a s**** about our club, l really expected some passion, urgency and fight today.

The decision of who will be next manager will be massive. Like so many decisions that ineos make it will be Howe and imo the wrong choice. Not a long term solution will not bring titles or challenging to where we want to be.
It’s has to be either conte or naglesmann to see real change.
The club is an absolute mess.
Carrick was never the right choice, we didn’t learn from the ole appointment.
Fans turning on Bruno who without him the last 5 years who knows where we would be. Shameful. He called out the manager tactics, I can imagine as a team being called out by every pundit for not running or pressing when really that was the tactic.

INEOS will get us relegated

25 Oct 2026 15:29:46
Now I'm not saying INEOS are good but they are still hamstrung by the majority owners who will still be in charge of what can be spent at the end of the day.

Hes right thou, United are getting relegated. United are the worse team in league, dreadful from front to back.

They will need to spend a lot in January. That won't happen because they say best in class but in truth it's whoever is cheap.

Conte and Keane.

Whose fault was that then? Brunos? Martinez? Non existent set up again, did nothing the entire half.

Also found it funny how we've got a full stadium singing glazers out within 10 seconds like the leeches give a f about a chant, after theyve paid for the tickets and merchandise😂😂😂😂.

If carrick and Wilcox aren’t gone first thing in the morning then this club is finished and we r heading for the championship. Say it hyperbolic, say it’ll never happen but watch us play and tell me we dont look like a relegation candidate. Woeful. Yes players must go too but it starts with the manager and DOF. Sort the rest in January and the summer. Woeful

I've been on the match chats but off here for a while because I have no faith in Carrick and Wilcox. Whilst the players in the past have shown issues, this is largely a different set of players. I've worked in excellent working environments and in toxic ones. In a toxic environment people cannot complain through the correct channels so they complain outside it, in a way that appears unprofessional to those outside. I believe that's the situation we are in.

Carrick seems a good man but rode the coattails of the good coaching before he arrived and we've seen a very clear degradation in standards since he came in. The current form is not a blip, it is a continuation. And Wilcox above him has gotten too many of the big decisions wrong and appears to have undermined both Amorim and Carrick now. It is blatantly obvious that the first and most immediate steps are to remove both. There are plenty of good alternatives to both.
