Got to hand it to rashford, while his effort and performances on the pitch have been poor, his PR game is top notch. Club says he's asked to leave, his buddy winter says he hasn't. Club tells him he doesn't have to report for training so he can find a move away, he shows up to carrington to train on his own. Maybe I'm being overly cynical but seems to be a game to paint him as the victim. Hopefully he gets a move because you just know this will continually be brought up to Amorim during the season.

He said he always dreamed of going to barca. Henry is his hero. Will wait and drop his wages to sign for barca. No amount of Henry winter bullcrap will cover for his antics.

I’m not sure how the Barcelona deal would be on for Rashford, they had trouble registering players last year, didn’t Danni Olmo have to sit on the sidelines for 6 months before they could register him, the Williams deal fell through after his agents were shown Barca’s accounts and they started asking for guarantees that he could be registered.
You have to ask how someone who should be commanding a fee of £40m and is asking wages of £15m a year going to help meet their salary cap, when it is known they have to get a few high wage earners off the books… just seems bizarre.

He has to demand that much in wages as he would be making a loss otherwise after you take away the amount he must pay for his PR.
He was linked with Bayern Munich the other day, he will be flirting with them next saying it’s always been his dream.

I wouldn’t read too much into it. I expect the reason Rashford, along with the others, have been asked not to return to training is because the club doesn’t want them around the rest of the squad while they’ve requested to leave.
It will be his team working on finding a new club, rather than him doing it personally. He’s probably chosen to train to maintain his fitness levels.

His head seemed to have gone whenever he pulled on a United shirt, he can look as committed as he wants, the evidence suggest he needs to keave.

It would be great to sell Rashford and there may come the end of the window be a team that will take the plunge, whether that is Barcalona who knows.
Reality is it will need Rashford to accept less wages (hopefully he sees the past couple of years as a bonus and will do what is best for his carear) . Potentially we may need to pay some to balance the wages!
It could be we have to follow the Lukaku route and doa 12/ 24 month loan, get a good loan fee and the majority of wages picked up. 12 months with obligation might be an option. but as Chelsea showed the obligation means nothing.

We got into this mess giving Rashford, a phlegmatic character a huge wage. His attitude will impact others. Must go and no redemption.

Agree with Red Man. His contract was absolutely ridiculous. £300,000 per week is the type of money that you should only offer to a world class player.
Rashford’s main problem is inconsistency. But he has the added issue of wanting to play a very specific role - high on the left wing with minimal defensive duties. Basically, he wants to be given Salah’s role with a fraction of the end product.
During the last two seasons, his attitude has been terrible too. Far too many incidents of being unprofessional, going to the media to complain when things aren’t going well, and being a distraction for the rest of the squad.
He has been available since last year, and no club has made a move for him. Villa could have bought him, and decided against too. If Amorim is to succeed, he needs the entire squad to buy into what he’s doing. Having a player like Rashford in the dressing room, who is clearly at odds with the manager, would just undermine things.

Nothing against him, we just need to turn the page and build a new team. Sticking rash up front to wander about would ruin any feel if a new start. We have the new manager. Now we need the new look team.
