So PSV had malacia on loan last season and won the eredivisie but have decided not to take up his buy option. ffs but we have some dross that's hard to shift.

He is not that good Tim. He probably had a good wage too and that's not helping. Might get him loaned out again.
Bayindir in same boat.
Onana in same boat.
Shaw in same boat.
Maybe we could get them all onto a boat and just push it to sea.
Imo these 4 are pure useless to the club going forward.

Malacia allegedly made some very poor choices regarding surgery and consequent recovery.
Not the player he was; possibly now League 1 standard at best.

Tbf to him, started really well in his first season until his injury.
Then we had the fiasco of his rehab which the club messed up.
Surely wouldn't be the worst back up for Dorgu, better than Dalot playing on his wrong foot.

Ken, it’s actually scarey how many poor players we have. Add that to high wages and some with attitude issues then we definitely have our work cut out trying to find buyers.

It's scary how many good players we have ?.

Malacia only has one year left on his contract. His NBV is maybe £4m and he's paid about £3m a year. Is he so bad he couldn't command a transfer fee of £6-10m on a lesser salary with United covering the difference and the club at least breaking even?

What was the old name new name?

Malacia looked a very decent buy at the time but the handling of his injury and surgery, sorry surgeries, he is not been the same since coming back.
Again, the club poorly handled that situation too at the time.

In wat way are the club to blame Angel?

The club at the time ken allowed him to travel to his personal surgeon in the Netherlands with little to no oversight by the club.
The surgeon messed up first time leading to a second surgery, again by his own doctor (this time overseen by the club) . He then spent a long amount of time away from the club with no player liaison or oversight by the club at the time. Poor communication here.
Then he made his return back to United, we had a whole host of injuries and I think his rehab was slow at the time due this lack of staff the club had and the poor medical set up.
It's probably a part of the reason why we have seen an overhaul of the medical team at the club in recent times.
18 months sidelined, the player was never the same again.
Laurie Whitwell covered this some time ago. A complete mess up on the club's part.

It was reported that malacia chose his own treatment plan against the club's wishes. We are run poorly, but this isn't on the club.

Unruly, why is a player allowed to do that? He is allowed to do that due to poor club set up at the time. That's firmly on the club, I know it was.
