Their spending this summer and last jan suggests to me that they knew a long tranfer ban was incoming at the very least.
Will be intersting to see how quickly it moves from here. My understanding is that the appeal process will have a definitive timeline.
Points defuction severe enough to relegate then is unlikely imo but we'll have to wait and see.

I disagree ken. 114 guilty verdicts is deserving of a severe punishment, I would expect relegation.

Everton were docked 6 for minor breaches.
City have done fraud if it's only a big fine and transfer ban others will do exactly the same.
Should be enough points do be dropped down two leagues minimum.
5 year transfer ban
Kick out of all fa competitions and stripped.
Look at the likes of rangers, juve and that for cheating.

Relegation is a tricky one because the EPL and Championship would effectively have to agree on it, and City would have the right to appeal that to CAS.
I'd expect a two year transfer ban, and a big enough points penalty to take them out of European qualification, but not enough to relegate them.

EFL wouldn't need to approve. If you gave them a points deduction that would effectively relegate them. They would just take one of the 3 relegation spots and go down.
I would say if 114 charges doesn't get you relegation from let's say a points deduction, then what would you have to do to get that punishment.

Not including all Premier League clubs including past PL clubs effected will be suing for lost positions, missed champions league spots, relegation. City players having clauses. Huge ramifications.

I don't know how or where they will do it but there needs to be a line drawn in the sand for further claims by other teams/players.
Other than the titles other teams have missed out on:
1. Clubs that have lost revenue due to not qualifying for CL.
2. Players that have lost a wage increase based on lost CL qualification.
3. Clubs that have been relegated by the odd points having lost to City,
4. If they get relegated then the teams pushed out of that league or the team refused promotion to that league.
5. Other teams that have been sanctioned if punishment is not aligned to offences.
Just a few off the cuff. It's essentially endless the number of potential routes for litigation. Going to be interesting.
