anyone want to do a write up on his strengths and pretend they know who he is lol.

2.) 22 Aug 2024 19:49:18
let me check YouTube, Ahmad!

3.) 22 Aug 2024 21:08:44
He's been good at the under 17 world cup apparently.

4.) 22 Aug 2024 21:33:14
It seems that Christopher Vivell, new director of recruitment, has a hand in this. He previously had roles at RB Leipzig and Salzburg, apparently they have a connection with Guidars.
Time will tell if this works or not, seemingly he is a defensive midfielder.
Will be a big cultural change for the lad, wish him good luck and hope he makes it.

5.) 23 Aug 2024 06:28:42
Essay incoming!

6.) 23 Aug 2024 08:55:39
Wazza ???.

7.) 23 Aug 2024 11:04:06
I watched some of the U17 world cup but mostly Argentina and France. The Argentinian guy city signed is a really good player and gets your attention. I did not watch any of the Mali games.

8.) 23 Aug 2024 13:20:02
Shappy - It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair. But it was also the summer transfer window that we welcomed Sékou Koné to the club. I remember watching him running in Mali in the care free days of his youth … *3,000 words later* - he probably should be ready for a loan next summer.

9.) 23 Aug 2024 13:52:09
?? very good Danny.
It might rain but it might not rain if the sun comes out. But it might only be out for a short period if it goes back in again it might rain.
However if the wind gets up it could be windy so hang your washing out but look out for the rain in case the sun doesn't come out.

Shortest deal in history!

2.) 17 Jul 2024 18:59:51
Little bit shocked, must be a good sign that we are beginning to move forward as a club instead of the regression we have all witnessed.

3.) 17 Jul 2024 19:43:23

Qatari post @qatarifc

The glazers gave ask shiek J and the 92 foundation can they use investment money to complete transfers before takeover done

Wtf.

Reddevilfan

1.) 24 May 2023 08:16:55
It’s a BS twitter page.

2.) 24 May 2023 10:19:18
Complete twaddle.

Have to hand it to Qatari bid team though - been very clever at playing the media (and the desperate United fans) throughout whole bid process.

I would guess that, once sale complete (hopefully), and non-disclosure agreements ended, all kinds of truths will emerge.

23 May 2023 21:04:48
So TUS say we shall have our Preferred Bidder announcement from the club by Friday

I just hope we get rid of all the Amateurs at MUFC.

Reddevilfan

1.) 23 May 2023 21:22:58
Maybe me being daft but what’s TUS? Been so many claims and counted claims I’ve no idea what way it’ll go. I hope Sheikh Jassim wins it but have a bad feeling we will see the Glazers around in minor roles. I don’t know enough about SJR to completely say I don’t want his bid to win and by all accounts he’s a good guy, I’m sure he’s not stupid and knows what the fan reaction will be like should the glazers stay on or more importantly if we still have debt, it affects necessary upgrade of our station and training complex and of course transfer ability. Friday would tie in with hopefully just having secured CL so any disruption from fans is to a minimum if news isn’t what they want to hear.

2.) 23 May 2023 21:29:15
Good chance we'll find out Goldbridge is full of it ?.

3.) 23 May 2023 21:56:07
Id say your right shappy.

4.) 23 May 2023 22:07:16
I think there’s an article by Miguel Delaney. However if he told me it was sunny outside I’d bring my umbrella.

5.) 24 May 2023 01:03:52
Whoever wins, what really matters is who they put in place to run the club and spend the money.

6.) 24 May 2023 08:29:12
Google = ?
What does TUS stand for?
The Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest (TUS; Irish: Ollscoil Teicneolaíochta na Sionainne: Lár Tíre Iarthar Láir) is a public university in Ireland.

7.) 24 May 2023 10:00:16
Goldbridge said the same thing last week, that there'd be a huge update by the Friday. :D I quite like watching TUS a couple of times a week but it's a bit ranty lol. If he had a filter on to eliminate the waffle the shows would be a lot more bearable.

8.) 24 May 2023 10:49:48
TUS is just Talkrubbish lite. Just trying to be controversial in order to engage through enrage. Wind people up so they feel they HAVE to reply and thus push up engagement and make them money.

The only difference between TUS and Talkrubbish is that one has the pull to bring in lots of former professionals while covering all clubs and the other doesn't have that pull and only focuses on one.

9.) 24 May 2023 14:28:58
Odd attack on MG there Shappy. He did not break the story about this Friday the chosen buyer being announced. He simply reacted to the story coming out from other main stream media - independant I believe, but not certain on that. Same from a few weeks back.

He often does a reaction piece on what other media outlets are saying. Only occasionally does he speak about what his sources are saying. And his sources are generally journalists that have their own special-ist areas of expertise.

Lots of rumours that it is jassim, but MG calls BS and thinks it could be either way, or still could end in more bids. Don't think he is a BS merchant, and yes he is a bit ranty! Lol.

10.) 25 May 2023 00:13:09
Welsh I’m guessing TUS is The United Stand podcast.

15 Jul 2021 00:31:45
Fabrizio told the utd stand that Varane has agreed personal terms with UTD and said he wants to move to UTD. He has been offered 70% of the wage utd offered him so let's see if Varane wants to force higher contract or come to us.

Reddevilfan

1.) 15 Jul 2021 08:54:44
Whether or not Varane ends up at United, I get the genuine feeling that he wants out of Madrid. So I would expect to see him playing elsewhere next season.

The rumours are that he wants a fresh challenge after 10 years in Madrid, he has changed agents which seems to back this up.

He was 18 when he moved to Spain and he has now spent over a third of his life living there. It's fairly unusual for a player to move somewhere in their teens then spend the rest of their career there.

I think he'll move this summer, hopefully to us.

2.) 15 Jul 2021 09:49:46
Reddevilfan I think there is genuine hope on Verane and we just need to be patient. I imagine we have said to his agents (that have moved to a UK based one I think) that his salary etc will not be a problem and we just need Madrid to confirm what they are looking for.
I think this will move over the next couple of weeks once he has had some time off.
It does sound like he is looking for a new challenge, PSG seemed the alternative but with them getting Ramos I think that has gone this year. I think a CB pairing of him and Maguire will be a good base to the team.

3.) 15 Jul 2021 14:44:09
Well I hope we get him I really do we need him badly. He has already agreed to our terms and Real have offered an improved contract that would see his wages rise to 70% of what we are willing to pay him.

I just don't want us over paying players as we need to really trim the wage bill.

As 02 said we are Amatuer at best. The fiasco that is giving players who need the door new contracts is laughable and frustrating.

Noucamp

You didn't happen to stay in the stockport hotel and have breakfast the next morning? . It would of been nice to actually have a face to the name. I have no voice and all my videos I took I'm singing so loud I've ruined most.

I plan to go again soon.

No, stayed at the Clayton in the city centre, mate.
I used to go a lot more, home and away, when I was younger, but then life gets in the way sometimes ?‍♂️
Just glad my young lad's into it, and it's something we can do together. That's what it's all about ?.

2.) 11 May 2025 13:50:13
Stevie did you stay in Stockport?

(Stevie puts on top hat and monocle) - oh gods no dear chap. Do you take me for a peasant? I stayed at the Clayton.

Danny, I didn't even know they had hotels in Stockport!
I mean, why?

10 May 2025 00:55:21
Last night was special. I was back at Old Trafford for the first time in two decades, and what a way to return—with a big European night against Athletic. The emotions hit as soon as I stepped into the Academy suite and later took in the game from NE3420. The atmosphere was electric. It reminded me of everything I’ve missed about being there in person: the noise, the tension, the unity. There’s truly no place like it.

That said, the game itself was a mix of highs and head-scratching moments. The goal we conceded? Woeful. A lapse that felt avoidable and just deflated the energy briefly. Harry Maguire had a few shaky moments, but to be fair, he’s put in some solid performances lately. It’s just a shame our fanbase can be so quick to turn on him.

Then there’s Garnacho. Undeniably talented, but he’s becoming increasingly frustrating—constantly giving away possession, going down too easily, and still getting applauded for it. We can’t afford that kind of wastefulness. Dorgu, too, wasn’t up to scratch. He looked reluctant to push forward, despite fans in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand shouting encouragement. He’s no Gary Neville—he seems more comfortable passing backwards, lacking that extra drive we need in wide areas.

It felt like we were crying out for fitter players with the courage to carry the ball forward. When Bruno dropped deeper into a two-man midfield, we found pockets of space, but no one seemed willing to exploit them. The dynamics changed slightly when Amad came on, Dorgu moved to the right, and Luke took over the left. Suddenly, Dorgu ran more—but it looked like a chore, not a choice. There’s a lethargy creeping into his game that worries me.

On a more positive note, Mason Mount was brilliant. Always on the move, box-to-box, with energy and intent. He earned those two goals and showed exactly why we need him fit and firing in the starting XI.

The night wasn’t just about tactics and frustrations though. My son came with me—and seeing his joy, taking it all in, was priceless. He was buzzing just to be there. The Tifo display was brilliant and added to the occasion. The fireworks? Less so. For ten minutes, the smoke ruined visibility and the smell was honestly awful—health and safety might want a word.

Still, all that aside, I left the ground hopeful. There's work to do, but the pieces are there. We just need the right energy, sharper decision-making, and players willing to fight for every ball.

Let’s bring this trophy home. And yes—I’ve got Ruben’s chant stuck in my head. Might be time I finally learn the words.

Reddevilfan

1.) 10 May 2025 05:25:08
Nice story Red.

I took my son to OT a few years ago, hoping to pass on my passion for United to him. He hated it, turns out he isn’t a big football fan and now we spend Saturday mornings playing golf together and he couldn’t be happier, funny how life turns out.

2.) 10 May 2025 09:47:04
Me and my boy were in the same section, RDF. First time I'd been since Fergie's last game in charge.
Great atmosphere, but only really in the 2nd half. There was a nervousness and tension about the place after the Bilbao goal.

To be fair to the Bilbao fans, they helped with the atmosphere as well, singing and chanting from the first minute. They were great in the city centre, too.

Hard to beat European games at the business end.

Even the sun came out!

3.) 12 May 2025 06:15:41
He’ll bring the glory days again
We’ll back him from the Stretford End
He’ll turn the reds around

The words to learn.

23 Apr 2025 21:48:42
Anyone rate Mateta from Crystal Palace. I don't think Malaga be too happy but wow what a way to postage stamp a goal

Swift, agile, quick but most of all ALERT to where Gunners Keeper was and the elegant chip from just outside the box. Perfectly executed.

I can hear some equilibrium quotes for the posty stamp Goal. Him and Cunha would be the dream.

Reddevilfan

1.) 23 Apr 2025 22:12:38
I have got a few Palace friends who love him. They were raving last year when it was Mateta, Eze and Olise but injuries between them seemed to slow that down.

For me he would be on the list of strikers to look at (potentially £40/ £50m) and would hit the ground running. He would not be my top choice but we have to consider that we may not get our top options (Osihmen if possible) and he could be a very good and astute addition. The fact he is 27 could go against him with the club looking at younger players.

2.) 23 Apr 2025 22:14:48
Mateta is better than anything we currently have in that position.

3.) 23 Apr 2025 23:10:42
Mateta, Cunha, Delap and Obi.
Sell Rasmus, Zirkzee, Sancho, Anthony.

That changes the fortunes, no end.

4.) 24 Apr 2025 09:08:41
Jimbo, would keep Zirkzee and change him with Rashford.

5.) 24 Apr 2025 13:25:35
Agreed Keano, there is something there with Zirkzee. Rashford is a spent force now, for united at least.

6.) 24 Apr 2025 22:23:44
Zirkzee should get another year at least.

7.) 25 Apr 2025 14:55:21
A Cuna-Mateta partnership could be just what we need. It would mean no worries for the rest of our days.

16 Apr 2025 07:18:01
Rashford playing a blinder for villa, David O was giving him all the plaudits too. I am curious though!, If other teams show interest and offer more than the 40m? Can we accept or have to take villas 40m.

Reddevilfan

1.) 16 Apr 2025 08:39:56
I believe it is an option to buy not obligation so no we would not need to accept. Villa themselves may need European football to justify not only the valuation but the wages. which will be the problem elsewhere.

Whilst Rashford appears to be enjoying himself at Villa and is performing well I would expect that he would still prefer one of the Elite clubs if they showed an interest at which point a really good performance in the Champions League against PSG was probably the perfect sales pitch.

2.) 16 Apr 2025 08:43:50
I'm sure Villa must have first dibs at an agreed price.

3.) 16 Apr 2025 10:36:31
If we get 40m then great, if we get anymore then that's a bonus.

I look at it like this, for us he's a 20m player most of the time, occasionally he'll put in a great performance but nowhere near often enough to justify even half of his wages.

He doesn't perform like a 40m player for us, so if we get 40m for him then we are better off.

I look at all our players the same way. Does Garnacho play like a 50m player? No he doesn't. Therefore if someone offers 50m or more then we should probably take it, unless we are absolutely certain that he will become worth more than that in a year or twos time (which we can't be) .

Personally I think Rashford has found his level (a good Europa league/ average UCL side) . He's one of those players capable of a brilliant performance, but incapable of consistently performing at that level. Which removes him as an option for a top UCL side, unless he's going to be a squad player for them. In fact I'm not even sure he's suitable as a squad player for an elite side. You want your squad players to be steady Eddie's who'll always give you a minimum of a 6 or 7 out of 10 performance, but who can step it up to a 8 or 9 at times. You need to know they will give a minimal level of performance that is acceptable. Rashford has been lazy in recent seasons in terms of his teamwork and off the ball work. If you're chasing a game or you need to rotate do you want to put on a player who'll either be a 4 out of 10 or an 8 out of 10, with no guarantees which performance you'll get?

I think Villa would be a very good move for him. Emery seems to be getting him back into some kind of form. I'm not sure he's the kind of person who'll settle well abroad, and I don't see any clubs in England bigger than Villa (or at least better positioned to win major honours) who would look to sign him.

If he's smart and Villa want to take up the buy option he'll accept it.

4.) 16 Apr 2025 11:05:22
He has better stats in his last 20 games for us over the 1st 20 games for them.
French press gave him 3/ 10 for 1st leg.
Anybody buying into the narrative that he is pulling up trees for villa is mistaken.

5.) 16 Apr 2025 11:53:46
Ken, I don't mind this media narrative that he's doing great. Let it continue I say, it'll only benefit us when it comes to selling him in the summer.

6.) 16 Apr 2025 13:16:47
He was genuinely very good in the second leg. It's even more infuriating that it's clear that he can do it. More reason to try and get as much money as we can for him and less reason to want to keep him in my opinion.

12 Apr 2025 03:12:15
Rayan Cherki the 21 year old I'd swap for AG. Very good baller.

Reddevilfan

1.) 13 Apr 2025 09:26:28
Cherki is a player for sure. I think people are starting to turn on Garnacho. Back in January when it was suggested we could sell him most fans were up in arms, yet now I think most fans would accept it without much fuss.

I think Garnacho has potential for sure, and he's definitely the kind of player who gets you out your seat. Yet the end product is missing. I get that he's young at 20, but he has over 130 senior appearances under his belt and can we say that he is really any better now than when he first broke into the team?

A bit maybe, but his end product certainly hasn't. For a play who consistently gets himself into really good positions, he makes so many poor choices. Typically it's holding on to the ball for too long trying to fashion himself a shooting opportunity.

In some ways he reminds me a little of Nani, lots of talent, but regularly makes the wrong decision. Like Nani we might have to wait until he's 27 to have a great season, and like Nani that might be the outlier and not the norm.

If someone will pay us 45m+ for him then I'd be tempted to sell him. If someone offered 55m+ I'd sell him in a heartbeat. For that kind of money we could bring in one of Cunha or Mbeumo who are both EPL proven, putting out a much higher level of performance, and doing so far more consistently.

I'm a big advocate for giving youth a chance at our club, but with that comes knowing when to move them on when they aren't going to make it to the level we need. Obviously there is always a chance he leaves and does really well somewhere else. But I think we've seen enough to realise that he isn't likely to become the player his talent suggested he could become.

Also by letting players like Garnacho leave we create space for the next young talent to potentially step up. Maybe that's Shea Lacey, or Amir Ibragimov, or someone else.

I think after 100 senior appearances we should be seeing more end product and consistency, he has the ability in his feet, I think he's lacking it between his ears.

If the Analogy is correct then if casemiro is staying we must sign Ugarte. The taught of signing Ederson now puts more pressure om Mainoo.

We get Ugarte and for the season ahead he will show Mainoo how to do his job then next season we have depth for the DM and if Ederson available Next season and Casemiro leaves

We Sign Ederson and we have quite a team ON PAPER/!

THE WAY THE TEAM play due to SOME* lazy gits means we may beed Ederson in January.

Very well elaborated and understandable context Shappy. I was going to say that our defence injuries are due to the amount of forward and tracking back runs they have to do. It would make sense because AG and Rashford never had those injuries. The demand on the muscles to canter out of the box, pass to midfield. and then scurry to defend maybe?

Yes but you have admitted that you would be defending it if the shoe was on your foot.

Like I said mate I think reputation as a diver has wavered the decision and of he had of fell backwards it would of been no case to answer and stone wall.

Let's just agree it was a good game and a draw was fair result.

Silly mentality from Marcus Rashford.
Turned up to pro level to get that contract and once signed he declined rapidly like every game he aged a year.

He obviously taught in his little mind that wow 350k I am at the top I can stop now. i believe his brother is in his ear making sure he does not pull a hammy. he needs to buy fashion.

Whilst he avoids any sort of tackle, Sprint that could cause injury his step over is affected to and caused many crashes.

Time to depart for him.
