I remember us getting Zlatan (Lg 1 player of the year) to play alongside Rooney and Pogba (UEFA Player of the Year) and the then German player of the year, Mhki, and yet we were not really impressed.
Even when we brought in Alexi Sanchez.
Stars like DiMaria, Rooney, Falcao, RvP and Mata did not set us ablaze. So gathering players is one thing, making them deliver is another.
