Looking for comment on those in the know. Of which I am not!

Do City know something about the outcome of their sins that the rest of the world does not or is Anderson on some ridiculous compensation package if they get pinged?

Why else would you sign for them knowing the cloud over their head?

Baffled of Oz!

It's certainly a strange one. It also doesn't look good for us, seeing Ugarte get what looked like a serious injury. That could scupper our chances of selling him. I've got a bad feeling that all of our targets end up elsewhere, and we are left with Ederson only for the CM reinforcements.

Possibly, but he's a young lad and sees City as the most successful team in the country, so any issue will likely be a 1 year issue (I can't see relegation being an issue).

It continues to be a disgrace how long this is taking, as was Chelsea's light punishment. The EPL has no balls whatsoever.

I find City after Pep an interesting proposition. Like, what are they? What do they stand for?

Pep was a huge draw, but what is the draw now? For my generation, City were an underdog yo-yo team. Then came the money and the council stadium.

In my eyes, they'll always be that yo-yo club - Shaun Goater and Paul Dickov, but for anyone born 2000 on, it will be a different view.

I see them as Chelsea, a plastic club built on money, cheating and soft geopolitical power.

I think they'll become a top 6 club, with a title challenge here and there. As each day passes, their punishment for +115 looks unlikely to be too severe.

But I live in hope they get a 60 point deduction, suffer a tough EPL season and get relegated, have their titles removed, and come back up as the plastic club we know they are, so their fans can live with it.

I don't see City being reduced much by Pep's departure, if at all. They have very good players and still have a mechanism for identifying talent, while clearly being able to afford to maintain that advantage by buying more.

It is quite astonishing and pathetic that there has been no verdict yet. My guess is that the case has not been substantially proved and there's going to be an embarrassing climbdown.

I think you're wrong, nnoi. Pep moved on because he was exhausted mentally with the constant pressure of refreshing a side to win and had gone 2 years without a trophy after delivering the treble.

Remember where they were before Pep. They will fall further after he has gone. Add to that tighter restrictions on sponsorship that they cannot manipulate, along with punishments they are surely going to face, and they're a spent force.

Small stadium, plastic fans who won't stay loyal once the glory goes, and they're going to be back being a Liverpool or Chelsea, regressing and fighting to stand still.

The chance to really punish them has surely passed!
It's taken so long and they've won a few trophies since then. It's a bit of a joke.

Whatever happens now is irrelevant to those years and honours!

They might suffer a few years of less successful football without Pep, and could possibly end up like Chelsea.

But financial punishment will mean nothing to them, and a transfer ban for however long won't affect them.

They have a group of clubs around the world to gather players until such a time as it would end!

United need to just concentrate on returning to not just the best in Manchester, but the league, Europe.

I don't care what City get. Won't affect us in any way.

I hope we return and reach the heights and whatever any other club does is irrelevant!
