So here is one for you.
Swap being reported of Rashford for Martinelli. Would you go for it?
IMO nope, if he's not good enough for Arsenal then why would we want him?

Martinelli before Arteta ruined him, yes.

I'd swap Rashford for nearly any of Arsenal's squad.
Martinelli fell backwards last season, imo.
Trossard took his place mostly.
I think it highly unlikely.
I'm sure Arsenal could get more than 26m for him.
But, if they proposed it, I'd bite their hand off.
I see no future for Rashford at United.

Wouldn't pain me at all to see him do well at Arsenal.
He has done little or nothing for United now for 3 seasons, so getting him out is the main objective.
Ideally not to an EPL club, but him at Arsenal is more ideal than him at United, imo.

Def not. Rashford is a far better player.

12 Jun 2026 13:28:14
Nah. Don't need a winger. Would consider if they gave us Calaffiori or Timber instead. Otherwise, between Mbeumo, Amad, Cunha, Dorgu and Lacey (expected), I think this is not a position to go after.

There are lots of others id prefer, AM2.
I guess he would offer more than Rashford has for us in the last 3 years.
I think we will have better options.

Timber, who is very good, seems to like the treatment room too much for my liking... So they can keep him, and they can certainly keep Gyokores....
Martinelli is a good player, so yes, I would take that deal. Is he better than a firing Rashford? Not a chance, but Rashford's burnt his bridges at United, and would only get dogs abuse at United at the slightest hint of no form.

Take Eze, though... Or maybe Saliba, but none of them are going to happen, nor is it a swap deal for anyone. Swap deals hardly ever happen; they are just wishful thinking, to get two players to agree to moves where they might not want to go is a stretch.

Would I stump 30M for Martinelli as a bench option. Maybe. So, on that basis, sure, the swap is viable. I think Arteta's risk aversion is awful for players like Martinelli, and I think he may be a better player than we've seen in the last couple of years.

12 Jun 2026 16:58:41
I would take a box of frogs, or a bag of spanners.

12 Jun 2026 19:01:51
I always liked Martinelli. Capable of the unpredictable.

As Don says, Arteta probably loathe to indulge a player like that while chasing his first title.

I think it would be a fair swap. Only my opinion and very unlikely to happen.

Martinelli is not a very good player by today's standards, a no from me. Also, seconding AM2 said - we don't need a winger this season.
