Im hoping it will be Carrick to the end of the season instead of the Norwegian bufoon retired pe teacher.
Over never fond Carrick to be the most inspiring of characters but he does have a lovely calm demeanor. Just like he did when he was playing. Never appears to get too flustered. So that is a great quality he will need to draw on over the next few months if he is chosen.
What are people expectations for the rest of the season.
Obviously there are 2 schools of thought.
1 that he will do better than our last manager and move us up from a el place to a cl place
2. That he won't do as well and will struggle to get as much out of the squad as the last guy and will lose the european place he was left in.
Its a tough start with city and arsenal but imo that's probably a good thing as expectations will be on the floor for those games so any draw or win would be a great start.

His time at Boro wasnt great. His training methods were questionable.

Ditto Ken, Ole will win more games but he will leave a whole load of players feeling disenfranchised and angry because they were blatantly lied to. He tells everyone what they want to hear and there are.
only 11 places plus subs. It was a disaster last time from an aftermath point of view after 2 season players wouldn't play for him any longer and we nosedived. The same will happen again.

I saw this on X, made me chuckle.
Carrick retired.
Did his coaching badges.
Stayed as assistant for years, managed as interim and left.
Managed at Middlesbrough for 3 years.
Now potentially coming back as interim, and we still haven't replaced him in the midfield.

Agree with u Ken on carrick vs ole. And let’s face it, whoever gets it will be hung out to dry if it goes wrong. As for what will happen, I’d hope we can get top 5, we’ve been poor of late but so has everyone else. No one in that middle grouping seems capable of being consistent so that could work in our favour.
Problem is that it’s so tight, we are 3 points off 4th and 6 points from 15th. We only have one game a week now so let’s keep everyone fit, work hard in training and for flip sack show some fight. If we do that then we have a great chance.

Are there still managers out there that players really want to bust a gut for. I used to do boxing when I was a young man and my trainer made me feel like I was always going to win. He made me feel 10 feet tall.
I know Ferguson and Mourinho could make players feel that way but is that gone now, is there a distance between players and coach or are there inspirational managers still like that.

Carrick was ole’s right hand man for years tumble or are some forgetting this?
He failed a Middlesbrough.
the majority on here and ex player pundits have there wish and we are finally going to play this super 4 at the back just be sure to be here come may when it’s all gone down hill
Wonder if they have promised Carrick any players in January or they want another manager to try and get some performance out of the likes of dalot and co.

Im aware of that bolger but I think anybody would be better than ole. Eth would be better than ole. So Carrick as uninspiring as it seems is better than ole.
We can all stamp our feet but no point in saying they should appoint klopp if he is not coming.
Looks like a straight choice between ole and Carrick and in that case Carrick is a better option than ole or ole and Carrick. Keep that twit as far away as possible would be my view.

Purely as an interim manager, how can anyone argue with a record of 14 wins out of 16 or 17 games?
