Obviously its impossible to know his physical condition and while he will be a bit off in match sharpness I just wonder will sesko start on Sunday?
We have a behind closed doors friendly during the week I believe. So they will probably decide after that
Id like to see him start on Sunday but if he he them perhaps we will see him at some point in the 2nd half.
Im sure that cunha and mbeumo will start and i'd imagine Leon will be on the bench.
Let's hope we can get the next 2 priority positions sorted before the window closes.
Unless we have a mass exodus late on I can't see a cb coming in.
Ive a feeling Shaw bayindir and cas will still leave before the window closes and I would not be at all surprised to see 1 surprise exit.

I think you start him Ken. These players keep themselves in good shape nowadays out of season and he’ll have the adrenaline of it being at Old Trafford, reckon the crowd will be rocking first game of season v Arsenal with the signings too. Get into Arsenal and hopefully get a half time lead. Then get Sesko to 70 mins and go from there. Go out and put down a marker.

I think Mount will start with cunha and Mbuemo in the front three.

Big game against Arsenal and Mounts two positive attributes of being able to run around and follow instructions will be useful and see him get the start.

As we play more teams where we will hopefully dominate posession then we will see a front three of cunha, mbuemo and sesko.

Surprise exit Ken? Are you saying we will sell Glazers before the end of the window ??.

Not at all Ua sadly. I just have a feeling that there are a few players who will jump ship when it becomes clear they are not 1st or even 2nd choice for their position. For example I would have thought shaw will fall behind Martinez and heaven for lcb and behind dorgu and lean for lab. Cashmere the same is likely to fall behind new buy Bruno mainoo and even ugarte for cm. Once that becomes apparent they might choose to leave. Its just a hope and feeling I have.

{Ed077's Note - but will they generate enough serious interest ?

Ken

I can't see Shaw or Casemiro moving anytime soon.

Shaw will be well aware that he'd face a huge drop from his £150k pw for any move because no club will pay anywhere near that much to a player with such significant injury gremlins.

Cas wants to be in the Brazil WC squad and knows that playing in the big leagues will help, he won't be going either.

Realistically, it's only Garna, Sancho, Hojlund, Collyer, Bayindir and Onana who might be tempted to leave.

Unfortunately where money is concerned, whether Rashford, Shaw, Sanchez, or like any of us, I don't see anyone willingly leaving and sacrificing a substantially higher wage even if it could mean more gametime. So I think Shaw will be here until his contract expires.

Rashford did Spenno!

I e often taken less money for various reasons spenno.
Often accepted lower bids when selling parts of a business or property. Price is not always the best indicator of the best deal.

The exact reason casemiro wants to play in the WC, and Ancelotti has stated he wants him in the squad, is the reason why I think Casemiro might try and force a move elsewhere.
As Ken mentioned there would be at least 4 ahead of him, and then you have a couple of youth in those positions knocking on the door.
Time for him to depart, now or at Xmas.
He doesn't get on the bench for me.

Cass is our best midfielder other than Bruno even now without legs! He starts against Arsenal before Ugarte or Mainoo….

Ports, Rashford is getting paid in full by Barca.
Respectfully until any of us are in the position of losing out hundreds of k in wages per week, it's not possible to realistically relate to these guys. We're not talking about flogging a few tyres at the back of a pub car park kind of money.

12 Aug 2025 05:10:06
Spent, his wages are fully covered by Barcelona so we’re not paying him but I’m fairly certain he took a pay decrease from what we are paying him to what they are so they could afford to take him. That was the point you were making.
