just thought about stopping in and saying. nothing seems to have changed. one quick transfer and the rest of the summer is generally drama and a soap opera on incoming and out goings. only difference to me seems like we are purely going pl proven players and stopped looking at players in other leagues.

Liverpool have done great business as usual and top top quality buys.

Is this a private chat Ahmad or can anyone join in?! ?.

Liverpool spent what we (reportedly) have available without sales on one player. They are also the champions, will be in the Champions League and have substantially greater revenues than us, which is to say they are a far more attractive destination for top players. Besides which there are 2 months left in the transfer window, so no need to get ones knickers in a twist yet. Mbuemo is likely after July 1st, and then we will also see some deals being done to loan/ sell some of our roster of undesirables, freeing up some funds for additional purchases. There's simply no point in buying players just for the sake of it.

I can’t see United selling anybody of note. Will all be loans with United covering a large chunk of wages.

Can anybody really see someone buying Rashford, Sancho, Anthony or Malacia? The players will likely still demand their current crazy wages, which no other team on the planet would dream of paying.

Garnacho might not leave either. Not seen many links recently, reports say he wants the prem. I would say you could rule Chelsea out as they’ve already done quite a bit of attacking recruitment, but they seem to have bottomless pockets and an addiction to collecting players like they’re Pannini stickers.

If Uniteds summer window is based on raising funds via player sales, it’s likely going to be a very quiet one.

So much negativity and wrong info. Malacia isn't on big wages and isn't that much of a problem anyway, Antony already said he would lover his demands if he is to go to Betis, Rashford said he would lower his for Barcelona (although it seems silly they will have him) . The biggest problem is Sancho, who himself doesn't even know what he wants.

Malacia is on £75k a week, which is ridiculous for the level of player he is. Kerkez who is a far better player was on £30k a week. Ait-Nouri on around the same. Tsimikas, the backup left back to the champions is on the same £75k a week. So I think it’s fair to say that relatively speaking, Malacia is on very high wages for the player he is, or isn’t.

It’s all very well saying you’d take a significant pay cut, whole different story if you actually have to.

I don’t blame the players, it’s a lot of guaranteed money they would have to walk away from. And it’s not their fault the idiots offered so much money to them.

Rashford could lower his wages to £10k a week and I’m still not sure Barcelona would want him.

It's not even July yet, plenty of time and things will get done.

None of those four will be in our squad for next season and will play elsewhere maybe on loan for a couple.
Our negotiation position is on the floor. It's all documented we need to rid ourselves so nobody rushing in giving top money. Why would they. Deals will be done I think there are probably a couple quite close let there be no panic.

I can see us selling Malacia, Antony and Garnacho. It would be great to offload Rashford but loans for him and Sancho may be more likely even though Sancho only has one year left on his contract so something might be possible.

30 Jun 2025 22:31:38
I may be wrong but PSR calculations renew from July 1st into the next financial year. Can’t sit here and bemoan our terrible financial issues then not appreciate we couldn’t go out all guns blazing.
Selling will be the challenge when idiots overpaid on wages, appalling what they did. Still, RA has set out what he wants and the club MUST deliver. Rashford must be gone.
The four main ones are obvious but Malacia is another example. Why on earth did we buy him, now the young left back we had in Alvaro is likely to sell for 45m. Elanga for similar when we were buying players who we can’t sell easily. The madness is not easy to solve but have to start somewhere.

I agree with Ken. Lame Stream Media are desperately searching for daily clickbait and we shouldn't follow it. Berrada and his team have all the experience we need, they know how crucial this next season is (and therefore what it means for their own jobs given how ruthless Sir Jammie Dodger can be when let down), and based on that I think a) the ducks are all lined up already, b) the new rule is No Leaks, and c) we will be pleasantly surprised.
Oh, and John Victor as a wildcard.

I am with you No Time, I feel that a lot of work is being done behind the scenes and that this next week we may see some dominos fall on a few positions both coming in and going out.
We are now in new PSR window so hopefully a better position and with training starting in a weeks time Amorim will want players in early.

01 Jul 2025 08:59:55
Is Victor that good? Based on what you have seen in one tournament? Not saying he is rubbish either but if Utd are interested I hope they have watched and assessed him over more than just three or four games.

Dare I say Antony is our most attractive player to other clubs lol.
