Do you think Garnacho has improved his final pass in the last few games? I think RA has had a positive impact to him. Credit to the lad too as he has worked hard to get back in.
I hope he stays next year.
05 May 2025 23:28:33
I know he gets a lot of criticism for being wasteful and not picking the right pass enough but to me he is one of the "must stay" players.
He is always a threat to the opposition. He rarely fails to put a shift in and you can see his desire to do well. He is still young and am sure he will mature into a really top player.
He has definitely improved under RAs tutellage and I would be really sorry to see him go and flourish at another club.
In addition to all those points it's not like we are blessed with replacements especially on the left wing and someone new who is better than him is not so easy to find and will probably cost what he would sell for.
05 May 2025 23:43:46
Agreed, he is a must stay. That will divide opinion, but there are much bigger problems ahead than having a player, that at times, is too selfish.
We had another young kid like that a few years back and he turned out ok.
05 May 2025 23:53:43
Aldo what’s perhaps going unnoticed is that for such a young player he is pretty much always fit and available, that hasn’t been the case with a number of our players in the last few years. He’s inconsistent as most players are at his age but you can see the quality is there, my main worry about him is how much he drifts wide which doesn’t work in the system, but if he can adapt (which he seems to be doing in recent weeks) then he will be a good asset. Amorim seems to like and trust him in every game.
05 May 2025 23:57:51
Most definitely improved the quality of his final ball. He's getting to the byline and pulling the ball back into dangerously positions. If he and Amad kick on next season and we can get a really good CF I can see us scoring a good deal more goals.
06 May 2025 00:56:47
For me his potential is obvious.
It's more a question of if he will be sacrificed in order to find 3 new signings.
I really do believe 2 from garnacho mainoo and rashford will be sold. The other 100% profit players are bruno dalot maguire amad Shaw plus any homegrown. If we are in cl it might make a difference but I still think 2 of the 1st 3 will be sold.
06 May 2025 05:35:01
Yes he improved slightly but is he really good enough, he don’t get nearly enough goals he’s crossing is not great and is too selfish, whilst he not as bad as some of our squad is he really what we are aspiring to now!
Yes he puts in sort of a shift, he not great at getting back… I would 100% cash in, let’s get players that can play RA way
Yes RA plays him all the time because who else is there! So that’s hardly a ringing endorsement is it….
06 May 2025 06:47:10
The kid doesn’t turn 21 till July and has already played around 150 games for us.
06 May 2025 06:55:37
Tumble
Lot of rumours about Bruno and his solicitor meeting a Saudi club very recently.
I would keep Garnacho, 20 years old and a regular. Mainoo is the one who isn’t regular and has had a dip. I would keep him too, if we can.
What do we need to get for Antony to make it work?
06 May 2025 09:37:45
48.5 m for antony stuff redman i understand is his book value. So that's not going to generate the profit. It's not about not making a loss is about generating profit.
We need to generate substantial profit because of the fees still owen for onana martinez antony and the likes that were bought on the never never.
Garnacho I think will be sold.

I think we need to be better with selling from our Academy. I do feel as a club and fan base we have this romantic idea all our Academy players will make it to the first team but it is just unrealistic. If we can breakthrough 1 at the start of the season and 1 during the season, we are doing better than most clubs.
It will be a real shame to be in a position where we have to sell established first team players who have come from our Academy like Garnacho and Mainoo. But we have to be better when it comes to selling our Academy players who aren't going to breakthrough. Chelsea use this to their advantage very well. Someone mentioned Dan Gore I think, the lad isn't going to breakthrough now IMO so let's sell him, make a profit but also give him a chance to progress his career elsewhere. If we end up buying him in 3 or 4 years so be it but we can't hang onto him ''just in case''. I'm not sure what sort of figures we need to get us in a better position but all profit from academy players will help.
06 May 2025 12:03:47
Should keep Garnacho. He’s still only a kid and is improving all the time. He has bad games, but he will only get better.
06 May 2025 14:32:42
Garnacho plays better from the right. He is right footed so it means he is more likely to pick a pass than shoot and balloon it over the bar which he normally does.
He is a threat in behind and he works hard, but he needs lots and lots of shooting practice.
I'd give him another season to see how he develops. Same with Mainoo to see if he can develop into a decent no 10 because I'm not convinced he has what it takes as an 8 or a 6.
06 May 2025 16:30:44
We are in a sell to buy situation.
Who do you want to sell that can generate enough profit to buy what we need?
06 May 2025 16:37:53
Manc man but if Garnacho right and Mainoo 10 where does that put Amad, if Amad RWB with Garnacho in front that could spell disaster, and lack of goals still, so would need some excellent strikers.
06 May 2025 18:47:53
Garna needs to be left wing. His crossing will improve with more coaching and his ability to cut inside and shoot is a real threat. He is only 19.
06 May 2025 19:56:33
Thought Garnacho was 21 in July! I think he is worse on the left then he is on the right…He cuts inside numerous times and misses more than he hits the target and that’s either side…. I would 100% cash in, if someone offers 50 mil plus I would bite their hand off.
Superstar in his own head!
06 May 2025 22:55:51
Germansuppclub, there's a lot of games over the season and all three of those players are young so need using wisely.
Plenty of need for rotation and being able to replace quality with quality is what's needed.
Also, they are all different kinds of players so they give Amorim options. There's Mount as well.
The other bonus is Bruno can play deeper where he is better.
07 May 2025 04:51:45
Does anyone have the true financial position we are in with regards to PSR? Do you also have the adjusted position subject to UCL being achieved.
With all the proposed outgoings, end of contracts occurring, what is the adjusted position in relation to PSR?
There is an awful lot of subjectiveness around the financials. Yes we are in dire straits, but how dire?
Could it be that all the proposed outgoings collectively place is in a position where we don't need to sell our prized assets? .
07 May 2025 07:17:02
Yes agree, lots of games, but I feel this team is in dire need of goals and been so for a few seasons now, Garnacho just does not offer the numbers required, he is very poor finisher and becoming a bit one trick pony and lacks a final ball, he not kicked on from 2 years ago unfortunately someone suggested him and Mainoo are 2-3 years behind Palmer, so we keeping them in the team/ squad for another 2-3 years on a fingers crossed they come good, they are not showing it atm, so I say get rid, get goals and players that suit not live on wishes. After all Amad showed in 6 games a far better level than Garnacho or Mainoo, so yes you keep him, same for Mount, got to get rid
We need to be looking at much better players not just living in hope with potential or staying injury free in Mount, Deligt, Shaw, Martinez case…
If they move on and play great somewhere else good luck to them, but let’s get this club going ASAP not fingers crossed on potential…. Same for Rasmus he had long enough, time to move on….
07 May 2025 19:21:06
Has palmer played 150 games?
